Cleaning the drivers helped me maintain stable GPU overclocked or not, and FW 306.97 was constantly crashing my PC so rolled back to 306.27 and all is fine ( GTX 660 non-Ti ).
To perform a clean install, remove all nVidia stuff from Control Panel, delete on see all nVidia directory, CCleaner, again CCleaner, reboot, search for existing nVidia stuff, redo operations if you find something, then finally, install desired driver version, for me the best so far : 306.27

No improvement after totally removing old drivers and trying 306.27

Just a bad card for overclocking, turns out it won't even run Heaven and 3Dmark11 every time even at -60 core offset, its hit and miss, needs to be -70 at least to be stable, and that brings it in at well under 1200mhz so it's not really worked out well.

It was worth a try I guess, and thanks again to CrazyNuts for taking the time to mod my bios.

I have reverted back to the stock bios again for now.

Is there a possibilty to fry something, I mean PCI Express port for example, with a too high Power Limit ? As GTX 660 is feed by PCI Express 6-pins plug AND the motherboard.

The PCI-E slot can get quite hot with maxed voltage and power limit. I am on a 670 but it is fairly similar, and the slot has hit 65 degrees with the power limit at 122% and voltage at 1.15

    Bravo!

PCIe 2.1 spec. allows 150w from the PCIe slot + 75w from the 6pin connector, so if you have a decent mobo that adheres to the specs you should be safe up to 225w

Your card is set to use up to 108w at %100 power target, at %150 power target it will max out at 162w well within the safe range.

Can you run 3dmark 11 P bench. I'm curious to know how well in performs now.

    It was fun trying anyway.

I did manage to get my highest ever 3d mark 11 score though.

It was running at 1202mhz and the memory was at +650. CPU was at 4.8ghz.

And the Sabertooth motherboard I have has sensors all over, including the primary PCI-E slot which gives a warning if the slot goes above 55 or 60 degrees

Hi CrazyNutz, can you do all this :
1). 300 watt base power limit. This should be well beyond the possibility of ever reaching this limit. Please note that this will make your card run at the max boost clocks during gaming and/or benching i.e. no more throttling.
2). Unlocked 300+ over the new 300 watt power limit just in case you find a way to exceed 300 watts.
3). Voltage set to the max bios limit 1.215v
    4). Fan RPM range set to %30 - %100
    To a MSI GTX660TI PE ? Thx.

quick question, you unlocked my bios for the MSI 660TI Power Edition (back on probably the 2nd or 3rd page)
did you unlock that particular one for >150% power level? cuz in afterburner (2.2.3) it only goes to i think 138% or is that just the limit of the software?

I have a Gainward GTX660 2GB also, big difference between this and GTX660Ti, so what can you do to unlock some horsepower without disabling energy conserving features? My voltage is locked, should it be adjustable? I reckon a bit of voltage and raise power limit should be good enough (its only for my netbox/backup gamer lol)

    MSI GTX660 Ti PE

Hi CrazyNutz, I have an MSI GTX660 Ti PE and am wondering if I can use the BIOSes you already unlocked for D858 & AvulgarPicture. Shouldn't be any different, or? Thanks in advance
