OCCT GPU Artifact Error Finder - Accurate?

    Hey guys,

I am running a Reference Galaxy GTX480 cooled by a Kuhler 620. I was putting it through its paces in Furmark and Kombuster to the point where it was artifact free. I noticed that older DX9 games were artifact prone with the same clocks even though Furmark and Kombuster were good. I tried OCCT GPU test and it detected hundreds of GPU Errors within a minute in DX9 mode. Seemed to be pretty accurate, but was a bit dissapointed that I had to revise my Afterburner profiles. My previously 'artifact free' furmark/kombuster OCs has been reduced by across the board if going by OCCT.

My profiles are looking like this now with OCCT error checking:
    1.000v - 775MHz core / 1850MHz memory
    1.050v - 810MHz core / 1975MHz memory
    1.100v - 825MHz core / 2000MHz memory
    1.138v - 840MHz core / 2050MHz memory

On the positive side, it really does seem to be artifact free across all games in DX9/10/11....
Anyone have similar experiences, or have a different means to verify artifacting?

I was using as stress tool GPUTool_CTP1, it shows how many pixels got error, untill underclocks.
For my self, im editing GPU bioses, to solve problems with games and stress tools.

    Then kombustor came out
Now my original factory OC NV560TI makes reset whole computer while im using Kombustor Overheat GPU in seconds, no laped gpu, no IHS removal, yet..
Bad graphics anyway, cant stand Kombustor stress tool.

Test with Unigine Heaven 3.0, maximum settings, resolution, AA & AF. All you have to do then is select between DX9/10/11 and let the test loop. Where applicable, also set tessellation to extreme.
