The G.Skill Ripjaws memory is not available. Any advice?

The "DDR3 1600Mhz PC12800 8GB Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 1.5V CL9 (2x4GB) CML8GX3M2A1600C9" seems cheap but not on AsRock site. The database It's updated?

In reverse, http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=484&c1=1&c2=3 G.Skill seem say that AsRock Extreme6 is "Qualified Motherboards List".
Ket any advice? I want use XMP profile without mess around...
    Thank you.
I've had issues with my Ares kit (F3-1866C9D-8GAB) on the Extreme4 so I can't say I'd recommend them. In saying that, I've recently switched the ram into the other pair of DIMMs slots (the less recommended pair) and I've had no crashes thus far.. not sure whether to feel good about that or not...

    Thanks for reply!
In the end, I've ordered this: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile CML16GX3M4A1600C9 1600MHz 16GB (4x4GB) CL9.
I hope they work flawlessly, because are on "Memory Support List" of Z77 Extreme mainboards.

Ok. can you guys having memory issues provide any further details? I've been bogged down the last 2-3 weeks but I have some free time again. Once I have all the info you guys can give I can fire off a email to my contacts. I have a couple 8GB G.Skill kits (different, but they should be using the same ICs) so I'll plonk them both into my Z77 E6 and see if there are any problems.

ED - Just installed the other 8GB memory kit, running a combined total of 16GB RAM @ 1600MHz 9-9-9-25 1N 1.5v across all DIMM banks, all voltages set to [Auto] except RAM voltage which has been set manually to 1.505v, UEFI is 1.9. So far, no problems at all. I'll do some gaming with Skyrim (two birds, one stone ) and I'll let you all know if theres any problems.

I hope Asrock don't turn into another Asus. Quality over quantity.

Main point of Asrock was reasonable pricing. Has it changed? One cannot increase quality (choice of used components/design/double-tripple redundancy/overengineering with emphasizing quality foremost) too much without rising prices aswell. I have chosen asrock because of "almost as good but costs less". If it will be overengineered and will cost as much as other top brands, imho i'd choose other longer-established brands.

Quality is something which can be maintained without adding to cost. When I say quality over quantity I'm referring to not over stretching existing resources and focusing on what you already have instead of over stretching resources without the necessary safeguards in place to ensure existing quality levels aren't compromised. It's a classic company mistake, certain people start to smell the money and try and grab more of it without considering the impact on current resources. Because many companies don't consider such things, their image gets tarnished and they start to try and brush things under the rug where they are desperately trying to keep up without the required resources. It's moves like that which killed Abit.

Well said! IMO, too many companies fall for that trap of introducing slightly-different-models-that-no-one-really-gives-a-darn-about when they could be putting it into solid QA with far better long-term return on their investment (including a good reputation and plenty of word-of-mouth sales). Business 101: honesty is the best policy, learn from your mistakes, and don't repeat them. Dell continues to fail epically on that level.

    Alright, for those people having issues with their memory kits here is a update for you all. I have not encountered any problems running 16GB of G.Skill RAM. Configurations I've run are;

    Stock Settings

All voltages on [Auto] except RAM voltage which was manually set to 1.505v
Manually dialed in timings to 9-9-9-25 1N
    CPU @ 3.3GHz
    RAM @ 1600MHz
    Using UEFI 1.9 for the Z77 E6

    I even applied a hefty OC and tested, those settings were;

All voltages on [Auto] except RAM voltage which was manually set to 1.605v and CPU voltage which was set to 1.38v
Manually dialed in timings to 10-10-10-25 1N (not the tightest, but had to take into account the weaker CL9 kit)
    CPU @ 4.5GHz
    RAM @ 1866MHz
    Using UEFI 1.9 for the Z77 E6

The memory kits I tested both individually and ran them together for combined totals of 8GB (2x4GB) and 16GB (4x4GB) respectively. The two G.Skill kits I used for testing were the F3-12800CL7D-8GBXM and the F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL. No doubt you are now going to be thinking you want to ask what should you do with your problematic Ares and GEiL kits. Basically, return them for a refund and buy either of the kits I've tested with. You should also be good with any kit of G.Skill memory that is not part of the Ares lineup. In a nutshell, with all the testing I have done I have come to the conclusion you guys should be fine buying any G.Skill, GEIL or any other memory kits from reputable manufacturers (not Corsair) that have not been "designed" for Z77. In other words any memory kit thats been around since the P55 days up to the Z68 days. The Z77 kits more than likely just need a speed data adjustment and are just a little buggy atm.

Very true. I've never, ever, liked Dell. The mere mention of them or seeing their name actually makes me want to physically convulse and vomit uncontrollably. Fortunately, as long as I have some contacts at Asrock I'll be able to hop skip and jump over the usual process and go direct to the source with issues that are found

What cooler do you use? Make sure you don't apply to many pressure on socket.
Also start with memory in 2 and 4 slots.

Any mem issues with mushkin blackline? Didn't see them listed on asrocks site.

    This is for the extreme4-m.
I had the blackline 2x4GB 2133 kit in the regular extreme4 for about a week without any issues.

I picked up a Z77 Extreme4 yesterday. I have it installed and I am trying to get it to install Windows 7 x64 onto the SSDs.

    I have two drives:
    Boot: Samsung 830 64GB
    Games: Corsair Force GT 120GB

and I have the Asmedia device disabled in Bios and both drives connected to the Intel SataIII ports and trying to install Windows. When using the Preinstall Drivers for 7-series chipsets it fails to pick up either drive. I tried setting the drives to IDE mode and installing Windows and it still is unable to find the drives, it prompts me to load drivers. Both drives are showing up in UEFI properly

I am running the latest UEFI available and both drives have the latest firmware installed. I load up a DVD with Linux on it and it is able to read see the drives via gParted to allow me to format them if i wish.

    Please give some advice

PS: the odd thing is that when installing Windows and it prompts that there are no drives available and allows me to pick a location to get the drivers, one of the devices available for Browsing is the Force GT 120 which had an old Windows install on it, and I can browse and see the folder structure. though the drive isn't listed as one that I can install too.

PSS: so I figured hell I will try Windows 8 just for giggles, now it picks up the drive fine without any issues!!! I am unable to use Windows 8 since some of the VPN connections I require for work don't work on Windows 8 yet, with 3 different install media (2 DVDs, and 1 USB) version of Windows 7 I am unable to install Windows since it won't detect the drives.
