You can compare date on both files and you have the answer.

Yes, but if they are different, that mean i would like to know what they have improved over the last beta version. It took them a long time to get a release version out.

Not even I know ALL of the changes that are made to each new UEFI revision, indeed even my main contact doesn't know all of the changes all both of us know is that some changes are highly complex so outside of the people that work on fixing the UEFI bugs nobody else would fully understand the changes anyway. Even if I were to ask my R&D contact he probably wouldn't say too much simply because some changes would probably require a very complex answer which, again, anyone who doesn't work on the UEFI won't fully understand. All we need to know is that any issues I or others find that are narrowed down to a UEFI problem in some way I report, and Asrock do their best to fix them

    thanks

can anyone point me in the right direction to mod this uefi with the latest intel raid rom? eventually i need RAID-0 trim support for SSDs, and as i hear, it would only work with 11.5 drivers + 11.5 rom.

The latest proper Intel O-ROM is v11.2.0.1527, v11.5 ROMs are for Enterprise series boards from intel.

ASRock only updates Z77 lineup with the latest OROM.

    Z68 Extreme4 as well as mine P67 Extreme4 are using v10.8.0.1303

After releasing final Intel RST 11.5 drivers I will rape ASRock to update OROM in mine borad or I will just mod it by myself.

The newest commercial OROM I know of is v11.2, not 10.8. However, I don't get why people are so obsessed with manufacturers constantly updating the intel OROM as its not vital to always update it, once each quarter would be enough. If you are interested in different OROM versions, this may be of interest to you; Click

Ket, I am only interested in getting TRIM support with RAID (when Intel releases 11.5 ROM), so that I can buy a second SSD.

Theres no need to worry, something like TRIM will be supported as and when needed I would think. Its only a option ROM update. If it'll put your mind at ease though I can always ask my contacts if a UEFI update will be released with a new intel OROM supporting TRIM.

that's great. either way, i also don't wanna mod anything. if it supports TRIM + RAID just with the driver, then than would suffice.

Apparently for TRIM to work in a RAID volume on an Intel SATA controller you must meet all of the following requirements:

    1. Windows 8

    2. SSD's must have ATA8-ACS support

    3. BIOS with supported Intel Option ROM (latest OROM's are v11.5.0.1414, v11.2.0.1527 and Enterprise v3.1.0.2101)

    4. Intel RST driver (for Windows 8) that sends an UNMAP SCSI command (latest driver's are v11.5.0.1184 Beta and Enterprise v3.1.0.1085)

Here is the 2.20 BIOS with 11.5 Intel OROM for those people really wanting it. Modded and tested working by me. BIOS flashing is dangerous use at own risk.

    If you believe this http://www.station-drivers.com/telec...1.5.0.1207.htm

Then the 11.5.0.1207 driver, and 11.5.0.1582 ROM are production(according to "note 4"). That said Intel pulled the 11.5.0.1207 driver from their website a few days back because of a memory leak....I guess nothing is ever final hehe. You don't have to use the 1207 driver though for 11.5 ROM, the older 11.2's still work fine. For the record I'm not advocating the change, some people above wanted it, and I have been using it for about a week and haven't had issues(yet), so I thought I would share it.

Need some help/advice on my overclock issues.

I am new here, first post but I have been following this thread since the beginning and used much of the advice here to overclock my Z68 Extreme, i2500K. Lately I have been having BSOD issues and have now fitured out it was error 124 which apparently means "0x124 = add/remove vcore or QPI/VTT voltage (usually Vcore, once it was QPI/VTT)". The problem is that I am very new to this and have no idea what to tweak next. Screenshot of my setting attached. Note that I started at 4.9 and then reduced to 4.8 and 4.7 still with the problem.

    https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink

Probably should mention that I have BIOS 1.70 installed.

Seems to be when at full load. Sometimes its not while gaming but doing something else like expanding RAR file or something else where the computer is working.
