I think the color came that way because they way I was using the flash. I had the flash at a pretty strong setting because I was in an almost dark environment, outside that room there was this vase with this nice flowers I pointed the flash towards the ceiling and created some nice highlights in the flower.

that pose is his favourite, before I had the flash was very hard to take pictures of my cat. The T1i couldn't focus properly on him and the 7D also had some issues. with the nice focus assist from the 430ex II I have no problem focusing now (good reason to get a flash), but still he hates the camera with flash or no flash.
