AMD 7970 DCII TOP conflicting VRM temps results?

I want to get this card in few days so i got some questions, and i hope some of you guys can help me out with.

    1. Are this card really locked and you cant alter memory/core voltage?

    2. Why are there so much different talking about VRM's? some say false software readings, some say its real, and there was thermal image from Asus showing like 65c on VRM's but then i found this,

so now i really dunno what are the real VRM temps during oc..

    3. There was also reports this cards overclock worse then reference design, and that this cards are hit or miss, and mostly miss is this also truth?

I have the card and yes the only voltage you can change with software is vgpu an only up to 1.35v ca.

And the vrm is not hot i hafe had 3 cards now and the never go above 70c even with 1.45v with hardmod

Thanks bro! so the readings of Hardware.FR review is false? i dont understand how this things work how come its false reading, and the results differ one from each other, is beyond me, broken thermal gun?

BTW how did you measure VRM temps thermal gun as well i guess?

P.S. Are the referent 7970 cards have other voltage control except for vgpu, (which is core voltage if im right?)

P.P.S. How are you satisfied with your card ? what is max temp you measured beside of the VRM, core?

i havent seen anyone with a non top model able to change v with software yet
at first my card was limited to 1.3 vgpu threw software but sapphire trixx now allows up to 1.5v and i just checked then that with trix set to 1.43v the card was at 1418mv measured with multimeter during heaven so it is working
unfortunately the gpu stops scaling at ~1.15vgpu 1170mhz for 24\7 clocks although it can sometimes complete 3dm11 at 1250mhz with 1.28v and increasing v further seems to decrease stability despite being kept below 30c on water

vrm were reported as being much hotter (~60-105c) than they are now (~20-60c) in new revisions of the asus software and the heatsinks are only warm to touch so id say its more accurate now than it was
the heatplate on my card doesnt contact most the memory chips so maybe Hardware.FR had one that didnt contact the vrm or maybe there sensor needed calibrating

Ok guys, thanks alot, seems like all of the recent DCII/TOP cards are voltage locked, so no DC card for me
