CF 7970 Scores are SUPER Low - Please Help :O

Hi everyone,

I Have two Sapphire 7970's OC edition video cards in crossfire and I am having bad luck. My 3DMark 11 Graphics Scores are just over 15,000 with the BIOS switch to the second positions on both cards which enables the core to 1000 MHz and the memory to 1450 mhz using both catalyst 12.4 and 12.6 Beta and catalyst profiles 12.4 and 12.6 Beta. The strange thing is I tested this many times before with the exact same settings and same catalyst drivers and they were consistently getting a graphics score of around 18,400 - 18,750. I literally haven't done anything to my computer since I was getting the better scores except the only thing I did was install Diablo 3!.

What on Earth could be going on here ? Could a GPU be failing or what. I need help quick because I am running out of time to return them to Newegg for a refund or replacement. Thanks everyone.

I figured out the issue, put on a new crossfire cable and it gets normal scores again believe it or not!

yes some bad x-fire cable can cause trouble
