you welcome
Good luck with the new stuff![]()
Hey again,
So I ended up with http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820231503
It's the same kit we discussed before but I got a good deal on a 16gb version the made the price difference like $15 so I was like what the hell 8gb extra for $15 seems alright.
Anyway, I never OC ram usually. I just set it at its rated specs and let it run. I would like to get it running @ 2400mhz. My 3930k I have it running @ 5 ghtz.
Any recommendations on how to get it running at 2400? I tried just setting the xmp profile and then changing to 2400 instead of 2133 but it wouldn't boot. :C
those will run at 2400 but you will have to loosen timings or raise volts or possibly both depending on what you plan to run.
I have a kit of those as well that I have not even taken out of the package yet but I picked them up for about $135 from the egg when they were on sale, great kit I am sure and Hynix BRF seems to be the way to go for high memory clocks and density.
What is safe max volts for 24/7?
Need a Gigabyte latest BIOS?
Z370 AORUS Gaming 7,
GA-Z97X-SOC Force ,Core i7-4790K @ 4.9 GHz
GA-Z87X-UD3H ,Core i7-4770K @ 4.65 GHz
G.Skill F3-2933C12D-8GTXDG @ 3100 (12-15-14-35-CR1) @1.66V
2xSSD Corsair Force GS 128 (RAID 0), WD Caviar Black SATA3 1TB HDD,
Evga GTS 450 SC, Gigabyte Superb 720W
XSPC RayStorm D5 EX240 (Liquid Ultra)
NZXT Phantom 630 Ultra Tower
Win 7 SP1 x64;Win 10 x64
i think u can run them for benching at 2400 not easy for daily or u have to find the best options for ur system, and check the cpu IMC if can do 2400 stable, so changing a lot of things in the bios, back to first post in this thread, look for 16GB tight timing and set them like that but with 2T command rate.
Hello,
I have G.Skill RipJaws Z 4x2GB 2133 C9 (F3-17000CL9Q-8GBZH), Hynix ICs I believe,
stable (HyperPi 32M) at 2400Mhz 10-12-10-28-1T and 1.65v (everything else on AUTO)
For you, it can be stable at 2400 C9 and 1.65v?
It's better to use the profile Hynix with R4E?
And what do you think of Dominator GTX8 (CMGTX8), they have PSC ICs, but 2400MHz 10-12-10, it is not good chips, I think...
Thanks
EDIT: I tested to 2400 9-12-10 and 1.65v, it's not boot![]()

you welcome, hope i can help
i m not sure have to test what apps-games u are using, i use after effect a lot of times and they are same for me here, only higher freq helps a lot not cl or trcd or tras or command rate, tuning these options help in benchmarks not daily use guys.
to 2400 MHz, 10-12-10, it is not stable with "OCCT Large Data Set"
vdimm: 1.65v
vtt: 1.15V
vccsa: 1.05v
necessary to increase the VTT?

using WC
for the memory controller, is the vccsa which should be increased?
when it is not stable?
