Yes we will be much happy with your mighty duck sandwich. May the smiling toads do you many mercies. Happy Sir Fingles Day to you my pants-wearing amigo.

3700EB is looking nice to me now that they've seen a decent price drop. (Though I still think more than 150$ for a 512 stick is simple gouging.) I still say buy BH-5 if you can find some for less than the EB. (I see it going for <$300 all the time.)

If you don't want to spend as much then you can probably find some Kingston HyperX PC3000 (KHX3000), they usually have the Winbound BH-5 chips, for around $220 or so and you will probably get a pretty good oc out of those with volt mods. But the OCZ3700EB is pretty good because your gauranteed a pretty good oc and it doesn't take as much voltage (good for the Athlon64).

512megs of Crucial pc3200 is 70-80$ for comparison.
There is no reason high performance ram should have a more than 100% price premium over brand name "Standard" ram. And ram prices went up to get 80$ for a stick of 512. You could grab 512 sticks for 40-50$ after a MIR at best buy/compusa last year. Hell 256 sticks were rarely more than 20$ on sale, even for good stuff. (I remember back when everyone was trying to get BH5-chipped kingston valueram for like 15-25$ a stick at best buy. And before that it was samsung 2700.)

No reason high performance ram should be more expensive than normal ram?

Does that mean I should pay the same for an A64 3700+ and 2800+, or forged pistons for a 350 vs. domed aluminum ones for a rice burner??

    LOL!

Here ( Europe ) they are not so cheap...

Are you sure they are coming back to commerce HERE?

I found 2x512 Mushkin Bh-6 ( 222 special ), but the don't boot at 2225 200Mhz 2,85Volts... so i have decided to find some good memory still in commerce ( if they take few volts for "good jobs" is better ) .

    Tnx all

KHX3000 is a good deal, if it's compatible with your board. The problem with it is it's double sided and many boards don't like double sided BH5. I had to sell mine and buy EB.

I actually made a profit on it too. When I bought em they were only $45 a stick . I miss those days.

Yeah, buy second hand BH5 or EB.

    I'm realy torn...

I'm thinking to buy one of those rams:
    -Ocz PC 3700EB
    -Corsair Twinx PC3200XL ( TCCD )
    -A-Data Vitesta 566 ( TCCD? )

Which of those ones is better for an a64 s939?

    Is needed for all Vmod?

EB is the best on all of those. 2.5-2-2-8, maybe 3-2-2-8. TCCD won't run 2-2-2 above 220mhz, and doesn't take kindly to voltages. The EB will do 3-2-2 (CAS doesn't make much difference after all) all the way above 250mhz.

    Where?

2x256 MB sticks are a lot for sale around as people start migrating towards 1 GB of ram, now with 2x512 MB kits it's a bit different...

You have a pair of Mushkin Level2 with BH-5 chips and you never used it? That nearly insane

No, just kidding. Of course, the Mushkin Level2 RAMs are still high rated. I'd say, if you are willing to sell them, you should have no problem, to find someone who wants to buy it.
They are mighty good IMHO. With ~3.3V they should be able to get upto 250MHz at 2-2-2-X timings.

You are misquoting me. I said that a 100% price premium was absurd. The performance difference between 3-2-2-5 and 2.5-3-3-7 is practically nil in anything other than benchmarks. Sure it's 500 3dmarks or whatever, In RW it isn't crap. I'm actually selling off most of my BH5 and replacing it with old crucial and CH5 because I get so much money back with literally 'no' noticable performance difference. The difference between a 3400+ and a fx53 however is very noticable. I still feel the fx53 is price gouging also, but people don't tell everyone who asks what cpu to buy that they need to buy a fx53 because people KNOW it's price-gouging.

And I just sold a 1gig set of bh5 for $280. I purposefully made it cheap for a quick sale, but getting a set on ebay for <$300 should be no problem. (Only stuff I see selling for more than that consistantly is Mushkin.)
