lol nice mouse, i always install my OS through a CD or DVD, idk i don't have enough USb sticks laying around haha.

The PWm switching frequency was available for the UD3H in previous BIOS versions, however it was removed as when we tested it there was no affect on max OC or stability point, even under LN2 switching frequency had no effect. You can ask Dino about this too, when benching all you really need to change is the LLC even under Ln2, however that is with Ivy, i suspect that with Sandy since sandy pulls more power it might be needed to increase the current capability, otherwise the board OCes the PWm settings on its own.

BTw early on i had issues with keyboard not working, try to enable or disable port 80H emulation, see if that helps.

Have been playing with ram tweaking on my Z77X-UD5H and so far I'm pretty impressed. Not very good PSC so stuck at 2500 for 32M stability. 2x2gb Tridents F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD. Got many more kits coming in the next week or so, so if people don't get annoyed by it I'll continue sharing my ram results on Ivy.

    Hey Sin just got some Samsung Green 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel Kit (MV-3V4G3D/US) got 2 x packs 16GB
Havin a play on this mobo. Do i need more IMC or VTT to run DDR 2133MHz ? does it depend on my CPU aswell ? so many peeps are getting 2400+ speeds on this memory. I just want a taste of 2133. I tried but cant seems to stabalise at 2133. Pls check with GB eng if this mem could be added to the compatibility list.
Any1 wid the same mobo and mem pls help

You will ned Ivy Bridge to get over 2133 with Z77, or at least with multipliers alone. I haven't seen anyone really OC that memory with sandy.

Ya with 2600K you deff will need to increase VTT and IMC. IDk how good these kits do on 2600K.

Try VTT of 1.15v and IMC of 1.145. Try two sticks first then you can do 4 later, idk how well SB's IMC can handle 16gb.

@irfs, I have the UD5H & 2 of those kits running at stock so I know they at least work ok on this board.

I'll have a quick play tonight & let you know if there's anything funky to be done to get them up to 2133 stable however I also have Ivy so maybe what I find won't be any help to you other than at least knowing 2 x 4GB of green run @2133.

    @irfs, I've had a quick go at 16GB 2133 & yes it runs but no stability :-(

    8GB 2200 10,10,10,30,128,1T @ 1.43V runs SPI 32M just fine

    two DRV632: http://www.ti.com/general/docs/lit/g...2&fileType=pdf
One is used for the front panel audio headers, and the other for the backpanel. They are pretty good.

My board is not in a case so no speaker although I do have one for the bench! I only gave it an hour of messing about maybe I could have used the speaker & the post codes to work out what was going on but as I only need 4 ~ 8GB of RAM I just figured I'd give it a shot.

So far both channels appear to be as good as each other although I am using the furthest away slots for just 2 DIMMS.

Although 2 x 4GB run & will 32m @ 1.43v I'm finding they need way more to pass prime.... like 1.58 ~ 1.6v..... maybe I can tweak something out to reduce it.... soon find out.

try running SPI 32m it is pretty decent at giving you a quick go on memory stability.

Here's my first attempt at stability with the Samsung's..... I dropped to 10,11,10,30,128,1T as 10,10,10 needed about 1.6v to be 1/2 stable in Prime/IBT

GFLOP's look a bit low I've seen 125 ish a few times & SPI 32M time is looking quite poor.... 7m22s in W7! at this speed.

Prior to F7 Bios I had to use the USB ports at the back of the motherboard so that my USB sticks showed up in Q Flash, I also had to remove my G500 Mouse! in Windows 7 no problems with USB ports.

Now I can now use the front USB ports on my Corsair 650D case to update the Bios now, the USB sticks shows up in Q Flash now after updating to F7 Bios.

I had that but if you hit apply the voltages come back, I re-installed the chipset & management engine & now it works right from opening.

I also flahsed the new F7 bios on my backup & it runs for me anyway just like F6L..... no change with the 16GB Samsungs but I guess F7 is the final retail/official after F6L.

Does the max power need to be increased to 95w in the BIOS?
