its not the best idea to buy stock when their about to release a new product....especially nvidia right now

on the other hand Amd was a great buy in October of 2011 when I bought at ~$4.50

And that's exactly why I told him to be careful. The only tech stocks that I own right now are Apple (bought at $19/share in 2004 when I heard they were moving to Intel), Intel, and some assorted penny stocks. Rest is in mutual funds and gold...
And on that note... to those of you who invest: The past few months I've been getting really odd feelings about this so-called "economic recovery". The exact same feeling I got back in 2008 just before the market tanked. The root cause of this anxiety lies in what the FED has been doing these past 3 years. Through quantitative easement, the federal reserve has almost doubled the amount of physical currency in circulation and even though they deny it... have been monetizing the national debt. And because the FED and White House have been using every possible method to hold off the inflation which must eventually occur in order to put things back in order.... it just gives me the feeling that it's going to cause hyper-inflation. Not quite pre-WW2 Germany inflation.... but worse than Jimmy Carter inflation.

Obama wants to redistribute the wealth. Well.... through hyper-inflation, any accumulated wealth will just get wiped out. Guess i should move more towards gold.

    Yep. Good price.

Nice. I've also been noticing that the more leaked reviews I see, the more it confirms that the GTX 680 does just fine at high resolution with AA/AF.

But... but... I thought people were insisting (and I mean *INSISTING* on other sites, here people had a good discussion) that the GTX 680 was a sucker because of 2gb VRAM? .
