Lol, oh god. Another unknowing soul using "KillCoil" stuff.

Anyway, a nice build. Don't like the font on the GPU Backplate, i find it too bold. Everything else is a really nice piece of craftmanship!

    Best regards!

Hi! i have been working in a new font:

I do not remember now but I think that it was made with arial font and then modified a little bit to match with the rest of the designs.

Today i found the font i used for the up letters photo:

    http://www.dafont.com/es/lt-oksana.font

A little bit modded with autocad

And about the killcoil, why? i used this killcoil for a year and never got a problem, the EK waterblocks looks like new and they are nickel, so is there any problem when using killcoils?

I like the font you chose However the "Y" is the only one I cant fancy. Are you planning to make them (somwhow, someway) straight, or keep the curve at the bottom?

    About KillColi, you might wanna read this;

    Hope it turns you

hi! yeah it's true. I can try to change this curved "y" in a arial type "y" or a more standar one.

And about the killcoil, i'm reading the post you linked .

later i will upload a photo of a modified "y".

More, more, more! More new pieces powered by COLDZERO

This time im working in a new full frontal for the obsidian 800D.

    This is the "autocad" design:

And this is a little "render" about an old design:

The little two holes in the center is for the antivandalism buttons:

And that is all by now

What do you think of making cuts of irregular length? Like vertical lines on one side longer then on other. Same about horizontal ones groups.

Not to be a party pooper, but I don't think the font suits the shape of the front panel. Also, I would put the vandal switches underneeth the air-intake thingy. That would free up space for some extra designe elements, and make the asymetrical look you are having even better.

No offense, byt that's my $0,02.

    Hey! thanks for commenting

I will revise all the structure in the future version. Probably i will change the power buttons situation and the front grill. The problem is that it's not a full new faceplate, its just a faceplate that will be situated in front of the original one so i need to study more the original faceplate structure.

The main problem is i'm too busy with the exams so I can't dedicate the enough time i would like to be working in this :/ .

The font can't be changed, its the main logo of the mod so it will continuate being the same.

    Thanks for following my mod

btw think about button placement in simple terms - will case be on table or on floor and how far to reach to them.

    Some changes:

And little changes to the fron grill.

The grill look rare but what about the button new placement?? the case will be in the floor and i can reach them easy .

    Few new designs:

This plates will be attached to the motherboard in the PCI zone and screwed directly to the motherboard holes.

The idea is to "integrate" the hardware to the case so the motherboard will look like is coming from the own case.

Is just a concept but looks great and "original"

The final faceplate design will be the one showed in the up post and it will be made by coldzero ( www.coldzero.eu ).

    Thanks mate!

But i found a little problem :S . The rampage III extreme doesn't have one of the holes of the standard ATX motherboards :S. So I will need to redesign how to attach it.

During the next days hope I can post the new design.

A little offtopic, I've just found that:

-This are PSU plates for obisidan 800D / 700D cases and they are really intertesting :

    http://www.coldzero.eu/product.php?id_product=818

You have the other types here: http://www.coldzero.eu/category.php?id_category=143

My favourite one is the ROG logo one wich come's with SMD leds preinstalled . In my opinion, a must-have accessory for obsidian users.

    Mine is this one:

But due to major changes in the project, I will redesign it according to the other pieces.

Can you take some more pictures of the midplate? I'm thinking about getting one made as well.
