hehe. I originally thought Micron gave all the EB chips into Crucial's Ballistix series to create their lil monopoly.

Yeah, your Corsair Value 'eats' this, remember? And when exactly do you predict that prices will 'crash?'

250fsb but ras-cas of 3 which costs some performance for a64s. if 3700eb becomes cheap enough, ill grab 2x256mb sticks to speed up my 3dmarking and gaming. Prices wont drop unless supply greatly increases. simple economics

It's funny that you would bring up simple economics after you predicted a while back that 9800s would go UP in price after the X800 series came out. Supply would have to increase far greater than we'll see for a while for the prices to plummet as you're speculating. This renewed availability doesn't signal a general trend in the market, so my guess is that we'll see reasonable prices (in the scheme of performance parts), but you won't get 3700EB for the price of your Corsair Value.

By the time 3700EB becomes cheap enough for you to want to jump in (I remember how quickly you bailed out of Mushkin Lvl2), 2x256 will not be able to run any game well. Ahh... I forgot. If you consider 3dmark2k1 (which is 3 years old now, by the way) a game, then it'll work just fine.

I guess the x800se has yet to come so there was no reason for 9800 pros to rise in price. Nvidia priced their 6800nu/gt unusually low, further dropping 9800pro/xt prices. prices did and still do hold pretty steady on 9800 pros, they have been around $200 for a long time now. What prices are we looking for 2x256mb of 3700eb? what if we throw in 250fsb at 3-2-2-8 at 2.88v guaranteed? I am aware 3700eb wont ever be close to corsair value and it shouldnt because its superior. my 250fsb with value is an exception, a steller example. Most of them probably max at 220fsb or so. I did max at around that with my nf7-s so maybe the way the a64 uses the ram caused it to oc so high? Maybe a tiny amount of that corsair value used speed binned chips from OCz eb ram that didnt make 3700 speeds when tested in a non a64, but they never tested it in the a64 by the time I upgrade my ram, id be on a 3.5GHz a64 or something. my current ram is going nowhere. how much does 2x256mb of 3700eb go for again?

    Cool i am completely

    confused.

good stuffs cost a few $$$ more, you won't spend the few $$$ more, so you rant about your Corsair Value in a forum that is riff with specialists.

price crash??? not likely, the good stuffs always will cost more, again, and using your reference, very simple economics.

i spend more time reading and searching stuffs here than any other place, occasionally i might even have a noteworthy comment or two as shown by my post count and the date i joined, but you continue to amaze me almost daily.

Sean was misquoted it seems, as Andy said in a post that was linked to above.

I heard today that pc3500 and 3700 EB would be back in stock soon. This came from Ryan. Also JNav said his news also came from Ryan.

Plus Tony posted a link to SVC which has pc3500 back in stock, so I would say the back in stock scenario is true!
