Flaming Blade GTI and HP Smart Array P400 controller

    Hi Folks,

    the problem is the following:

Built myself a new workstation with a flaming blade gti,12GB Ram, Xeon W3565.

I wanted to use my p400 raid controller with my 4 sas disks. On boot up the controller is recognized, but after intializing just a blinking cursor is on the screen.

I found a few threads mentioning that this controller isn't working with the flaming blade, but i wanted to ask you guys if you know a way to get this controller to work.

    Thanks a lot!

If you try searching about raid controllers here in Forum: Foxconn - Quantum Force ("PERC raid", for example), you'll find that on all QF X58 boards the issue of non working pci-e raid is still unsloved. You may contact the Foxconn support as suggested by Pilsy, but we do that before on that issue without any success .

well i can say x58 was fixed
but the person that fix the bios does not work for foxconn any more
so i dont think you get the bios fix for rattle or any other board

its a shame but i dont think you see a good bios from them any more

First saaya, then you, now the skilled bios person left Foxconn - who is making then Quantumian-1 and is there any chance to become a good X79 board ?

mmm not sure about flammingblade but i know bloodrage was fixed as my card that did not work got fixed
have to find my old email relese notes

hardware still the same guy who did all the boards (one guy and what great design he can do)
bios noone, it now the normal bios team that do all them poor bios on the normal boards
if they got new people i have no idea and the truth be told i dont care to much.

but i will keep watching and hope another good board comes to replace my bloodrage
