Its susggested you start with optimized defaults. Boot with alt+F12. Once coppied shut the system down and clear the cmos boot back up and load optimized defaults.

I think he is referring to the capabilities of running both Intel raid rom and the Jmicron raid rom together at the same time.

As far as I know was just the capabilities of running Intel raid rom plus the Jmicron raid rom together at the same time implemented. It is a mod.-BIOS though!
Everything else wasn't touched. So just push a stick into your board and flash it up like you did it so many times before, come on man
By the way you might allow being curios, how many Beths (English pounds) did you pay for your six core?
I am going to let a 3930K work on the X79-UD-7 in future- it is a six core as well, man

I don't know for sure mate if it improves the SSD-performance but what makes you so cowardly?
Seams like I'll have to catch a plane to UK just for pushing a stick into your board

    Yo Nam-uk,
I like your British sense of humor! Some times I am just busting nuts as well
A German speaking system would be a pain in the neck, in deed.
But back to your serious question:
Creating a RAID hooked up to the JMicron isn't a good idea because the controller shuts down at about 122 MB/s, moreover it is bent on PCIex 1.1.0. So that wouldn't perform pretty well.
Tow RAIDs on ICHR10 should be much better; the throughput could be at last ~600 MB/s (depends on the SSDs you chose) nevertheless TRIM does not work in a RAID area.

lol yea some do not like that sense of humor sometimes mate .

i did read the intel is better for Sdd though , and that marvel is not real Sata 6gb controller, well you do not get the 6gb suggested which is a kick in the nuts imop, you no the new intel 6gb,s drive trim will work with Raid 0 , not really interested in that yet though.

also were the hell is that thanks button on here i can not see it anywere or it is just me.

Close. I know my cpu is not the greatest. It will do 21x220 with 1.45v in bios with llc1 for 1.440 loaded but with HT disabled.
