I've got all the XT stuff such as the LCD with IR, the bay sides, heatsink, block. So, while those bits and pieces are not for sale separately, I think I should be able to swap them onto a new LT mainboard unless I'm missing something.?
Looks like the LT is sold out everywhere though, so I'm going to wait for Sidewinder to get them back in.
I'll be much more careful with #2...no more hot swapping loads and I may go straight to the waterblock for the remainder of the testing.
I think it's only a matter of time before the other XT or PRO bits like the LCD become an accessory. I also wish they made a nice boxed active heatsink fan option that fit in the drive bay. I could see using one of those PCI slot coolers attached to the heatsink as an active cooling solution that still fits in the confined space. Need something better than the passive heatsink for those air-cooled users too or folks that don't want to route tubing down to a waterblock.

I went digging in my parts bins and found an old centrifugal blower style fan that fits the stock heatsink almost perfectly. I might try testing this...I kind of like it..

Good one, would work pretty well. Those fans are significantly better at spot-cooling than the std fans. Anyway, luv your work on this Martin, will keep an eye out for updates. I have the TMS-200, which unfortunately is not supported in Win Server 2008 R2, so either have to go for the AA5 LT, which I don't really want to do, or run a secondary small 3.5" SBC as a 'monitoring' system, with its own little toucscreen LCD. Would be simpler to do at this point in time.
Might still consider the AA5 LT though, it will make for a cleaner installation, I know.

Wish I could, but I'm saving my pennies to order a new LT board. I pushed my first sample to it's breaking limits, so any further testing will have to wait..sorry. I'm pretty selective about where I order from and at the moment they are out of stock. Anyhow, that's all from me for a while on this until I get a replacement which will probably be a few months from now.
For now I'd say you're ok up to about 1.5Amps using the heatsink passively, but anything more which would be typical of a pump plus fans needs at least a fan blowing over the heatsink. The waterblock is likely a necessity to see the 5A limits would be my guess.
Active cooling is definitely a factor in utilizing the current limits capable.

Thanks Martin and everyone else! I've been looking for a toy just like this so I pulled the trigger the other day and ordered an A5Pro but with all the toys of the XT from Dazmode.
The rest I had to order from Aquatuning USA/Canada which strangely ships from Germany?!?!?!? Shipping didn't seem expensive so I'm confused on this one.
No one seems to have much stock on accessories for this guy so hopefully things improve.
Hopefully they add direct support for onboard motherboard sensors in the future without requiring a third party app but it will do for now.

Shoggy, any plans to add a fan expansion board that will allow for full rpm monitoring and control of a bunch of fans? Four seems rather limited and I'd like to be able to monitor all of my fans (currently running 12 or so on my case). I plan to just daisy chain them in groups of 4 for now and only monitor the rpm from one of the fans.

Interesting - I've been looking at these for while however I don't need the lcd screen as I'll be using a dedicated LCD modded to the side of the case.

Let me try to answer some of this..

In theory, you can run 2x D5 and 6x GT15 off the LT alone with a water block, you can use that as base reference. I have below quoted the Amp limits of both AQ5 and PA2.

Not sure how to answer this exactly..
you can in theory just use the RPM header on the PA2 module or even the AQ5 if you choose.. However, this will be a expensive option as the PA2 aren't cheap. Each fan header (4 on LT, 1 per PA2) will allow RPM reading.. I don't see why it would have to be powering a device to read it's RPM.. the VRM will just remain on 0v hence generating no heat, but still be able to read the RPM.. Please ask Shoggy to confirm this.
If you need to monitor the RPM of exactly 5 pumps and 4-5 fans, say that's 10 headers you'll need.. You may have to get the whole setup... Please ask Shoggy to confirm this.
Honestly it'll be a waste to use AQ5 and PA2 just to monitor the RPM, there are other cheaper alternatives.. The full set will allow you to monitor up to 10 RPM signals from varying device and example in my case, 4 D5 and 18 Fans, If my numbers are correct, I can throw in another 18 fans for a full Push/Pull config in my rig all powered and monitored by the AQ5.
I just connect one output for a PA2 to power 6 fans, but only connect 1 RPM cable from 1 fan and it'll use that as a guide sort of, it'll just read the RPM from that 1 fan, but will send out 7v as example to all the fans.
Goes to show the limits on this thing is quite high.

Each Power Adjust 2 module includes 1 flow meter, the LT has 2 total, 1 dedicated and the fan pin 1 is shared as flow meter also, you can select this option in Aqua Suite 2012.

Not that I know of, you can change the color of the charts to your liking tho.

The window itself is resizable and will remember it's location even after computer reset, the resolution is only limited to how many charts you have in the overview page, more charts = bigger window space needed.

Thanks Frank - The reason I may not be powering all the fans and pumps that I'm monitoring is that the LT will be on a windows computer, but some of the fans and pumps will be running on a linux workstation in the same case. I agree it's a waste of the aquaero's potential, but not sure if there are any alternatives to have that many fans/pumps monitored onto a monitor. I could just get a few of these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811992006) rather than the monitor + aquaero lt - but I'd like other displays on screen too.

ah I see what you are doing, this will work...
I think the NZXT is ugly (beauty is in the eye of the beholder), another option is fan controllers that can push out high wattage, Lamptron FC8 comes to mind, 30w per channel, 2.5A, enough to even push your D5's.. This is a cheaper alternative unless you are really after the Aquasuite interface and the panel.

These are out already? Looking to get an LT with a G1/4 probe for water temp monitoring, but the only place I've seen with them in stock is the Aqua Computer site and that's at 35euro shipping to the US...
They are out, I have them installed in my rig at the moment...
I see the LT for sale, but the temp probe is out of stock, I guess if you don't want to pay the euro shipping, you can sign up for the "auto email notify" once it's in stock from one of the US resellers. The euro went down a bit so it's not bad now, when I bought it, the euro was 10% more then today..

Does the LT (or any version) have the ability to output temps to a file kind of like CoreTemp did/does? I'd love to plot CPU/GPU load vs time vs GPU/CPU/water temps...
I read that it's supposed to be able through the USB to some sort of log file, but I couldn't figure out how. Aquasuit will automatically creat chrts like that real time though and you can adjuat the plot timeframe which will give you min, max, and average in real time as well. But as far as taking something into excell I am not sure and havn't seen any tips yet.
Been playing with this for a few days now, very nice setup and really like how crazy you can get with this.
Has anyone figured out how to set the Alarms page via AquaSuite, or is that a future item? Would be much easier than using the LCD.
(Next we need an IOS app :-)

Data Export from Aquasuite or the A5 isnt currently possible but maybe enabled in a future update. Myself and a number of other people have requested this feature so the data can be used in external apps. (such as a G19 keyboard running LCDHost!)
Alarms not enabled in Aquasuite yet you have to set through the front LCD and controls on the unit.

Need a little guidance here. I am FINALLY setting up my AE5 XT for the first time. However, the touch keys on the front panel don't seem to do anything. The remote works and the software works, but nothing when I touch the 3 little lights on the front of the LCD. I have checked that the keys are enabled (althought not sure if this is the remote keys or front panel keys). Any ideas what I may be missing.
Also, after changing settings in AquaSuite 2012 are they save automatically to the device?

I had trouble with my keys after a bit too, but I would suggest trying to increase the key sensitivities. Each key has it's own control for that. I would also check the grounding of the unit and faceplate. I think I heard someone else mention that.
I believe settings in the Aquasuite are saved when you click the save button.
Well, the grounding could be an issue. I am trying to set this up in an all aluminum Lian Li case. The drive cage from my in process build is just sitting on top of the aluminum case with the AE5 and three PA2's mounted in it. Any suggestions on how to ground.
Also, I see (when I use the remote) there are four programmable keys listed in the menus. What are the key (or button) names of the touch buttons. I tried many things and still get nothing. However, I don't know which touch spot of the 3 corresponds with what in the menus.
Finally, I am guessing no manual exists yet. Has a user compiled anything that I may have missed somewhere?
