I have a DirectCUII GTX 580 that is a horrible clocker on air, I can only imagine how crappy it would be under cold

mixing gpu = lower score. ive tested ref + dcuII vs 2x dcuII (clocked all the same)

good to know Zen, I always wondered if there was a performance hit mixing and matching gpus.

its a yes and no actually. if they are all reference cards, you can flash all the same bios to ensure you are getting same timings etc across different brands.

it its non-ref, dont mix them try to match.

i think im done with 1156 for now. i will chase 3k another day (or if it becomes necessary for country cup)

i didnt even freeze the ram, and it was the imc giving out because coldest i could get was -73c. i couldnt even apply more than 1.52v imc, the board would shut off

thanks bud it means alot, however I am still going to take it under cold now that I have w8 somewhat dialed.

also going to do some testing with 3dmark11 and w8.

what sucks is that I have a decent wprime score that I should have submitted for the cup but could not due to ISP issues, but it looks like we have 2nd place for sure if we can hold on to the 3DMark11 stage as it worth the most.

regardless this has been an awesome comp especially the last few stages.

yeah i'll do my best with 3x sli, thats the most i can do. i have messaged one dude. hopefully he still has possession of what i need. its gonna be an uphill battle though. i'm sure some guys will put their systems on ln2. its gonna be tough. almost impossible. but hey we do this for fun

if so that will net some killer results, but cards on cold would just be icing on the cake

yes i'll try pushing the cpu. but 3dm11 isn't very cpu centric. so even if i clock the cpu to over 6ghz. it won't beat a cpu on air with gpus on ln2.
