I'm always happy when you post.
I know this UD5 is a Solid board, more than any other. I was just missing some better ram overclock for my elpidas and better NB overclock as seen on crosshair IV. I think that's much a matter of bios improovement.
I will definately go for Gigabyte w/ bulldozer if this bios is the one I'm looking for.

Hey. I have had this board for a while. Before I hay my disks set up in a software RAID5 array, now I have them in a hardware array, and when I try to copy large amounts of data over, i get a BSOD. Yeah I have my computer OC'd but i have not had it blue screen with my other uses (watching videos, WCG, light gaming, etc) It's only been recently that I've been having this problem. On the BSOD, it flashes something about ntfs quick before rebooting. Anybody have any ideas?
UPDATE: It looks like it's something with the external and USB possibly. I tried copying something over to the local drive and it crashed again... I'll keep digging around a little.
SOLVED: It looks like the chipset drivers from Giga conflict with the USB drivers that W7 installs. I uninstalled all of the usb ports and rebooted and it worked fine.

Does anyone happen to know if this motherboard is gonna support the upcoming bulldozer CPUs?
Probably not, unless Gigabyte decides to update BIOS as ASUS and MSI do. Gigabyte has already made/announced AM3+ ready motherboards (revisions/new versions of 8x0 chipset boards with black AM3+ socket).
It will, but probably later.
F8K that is supposed to be good here is weird, sometimes it's stable, and sometimes not. Some weird popping cranckling noise coming from Forte 7.1 + 6870 crossfire...
F8M has worse OC abilities but seems very stable, PhenomMsrTweaker , don't work in F8M also....

Do the latest beta Bios improve the support of 1.5V memories? I'm running F8c and it seems that it can't set the voltage below 1.6v.
Seems we made our greatest error when we named it at the start
for though we called it "Human Nature" - it was cancer of the heart

I would check my bios for mem voltage range if i could. My keyboard stopped working at post ? I cant even set my hd to sata mode without the bios hanging. I was planing on a new amd board for bulldozer. I'm glad i waited .
