    New microcode update.

An option under system agent to disable remapping , seems to be added to all the Asus P67's. I'm curious, does anyone actually have a good reason to disable memory remapping?

As i had no idea what it was i had to google it :p
seems like it will help to turn it off if running 32bit OS (will read 3gb instead of sometimes 2gb with remaping on).. if that's incorrect someone tell me because i spent about 10s on it lol.

Afraid to switch over until i get some peeps confirmation.. (seems like these new bioses don't let you flash back to older ones)

Very basically address space is taken up by some of the hardware, usually towards the top end of 4GB. Since RAM can not use those addresses it gets remapped above 4GB.

For instance if you had 1GB of hardware addresses and do not use remapping with 4GB or more of RAM then you will lose the use of 1GB of RAM even when using a 64-bit OS.
