pop out the battery tear it down and remount your cpu in the socket, then try it again.

I connected it to another board... same thing happens. Well thats kind of a releif i supposeany recommendations for a new PSU? It needs to be beefy, like around 1200w preferably. The one thats just died was a Thermaltake toughpower 1200w... what a POS!

LOL! thermaltake PSU's, they've been known to alot of people to avoid. That being said, the AX1200w fits most peoples bill quite well, I personally run that myself. Or if you can, get your hands on the SeaSonic 1000W 80+ platinum, great voltage regulation on that psu, given that you also have some sort of power conditioner as the ripple suppression isn't as great compared to the AX1200.
