[Project] CM Cosmos RS ( Red Storm ) - Believe in the Cosmos's Powaaah ; )

CM Cosmos RS ( Red Storm )

Hi folks! Recently one of my 480s died, and kind of motivated me to make some changes to my rig, manly because I had to spend money to buy an used 480, and take my system apart to remove the bad one, so I decided to spend a few more bucks, a few... lol ..... after we started to update our system... it always end up costing more then we would like/planned

.... and I know I know why I didn't change to 580? Well , I was going to change to LGA2011, but because I consider myself an water cooling enthusiast, and not an benchmarker, or an enthusiast hardware; I will wait until the GTX 6XX and Ivy Bridge-E to probably buy a whole new system.

How my system looks like from my last project :

How it's now without the "dead" 480 :

Things that I already have buy/done for this project:

Drive-bay cover, made of steel ( I will probably cover the drive-bay cover with Di-Noc ):

I will be using 3m duct tape to fix the drive-bay cover, because of the radiador that I already have, and the other that I will be adding, I will not be able to fixed it using screws:

This tape is so strong that I put some rubber "U" shape in the side of the tape roll, and now I can't take it off without destroy it:

Some zip ties ( they are always usefull ):

Di-Noc, I bought alot because I don't want to end up needing to buy more ( mainly because sometimes I have ideas in the middle of the project ) :

LED Stripe SMD3528 120 Leds/m, a total of 7 meters, I'm planing to have 3 or 4 independent circuits, with their kind of illumination different from each other:

Thermal Pads, 1mm and 2mm thick:

    SLI Bridge with Di-Noc :

    Before:

    After:

    Razer Lachesis 3.5G :

EVGA GTX 480 ( to go in place of the other ) :

The order that I'm waiting to receive today or in the begining of next week ( Without the amount of items ordered ) :

Custom BackPlate, that I have already drawn in AutoCAD, and I'm in the ending of the process of talk and make the final decisions to give the call for the local company make the backplates:

These are the screws that I will be using to fix the backplate :

Some extreme performance thermal pads, to make the best cooling performance to my R3E motherboard and the 480s VRM ( I said in the begining that I will not be buying a new system until Ivy Bridge-E )

These thermal pads I ordered without tracking number, so I have no idea when I will receive them, if I receive..........

    More to come
