It confused me as well. I think someone at Asus responsible for naming bioses screwed up. If you download bios 2011 directly from support.asus.com and then unzip it you will see the actual bios you downloaded is 2001, not 2011 as the name said. This confused me as well when it first released but I downloaded it and discovered its actually 2001.

I have been playing BF3 since its release with 2600K @ 5Ghz, HT On and single N560GTX Ti with no issues.

Anyone posting 2050 bios? Haven't found a link yet.

I just got 2001 tweaked for 24/7 use. Not huge, but I got an extra 100mhz out of this bios. I'm sitting pretty at 5ghz.

Thanks for posting your settings, Sergio! That really helped me figure out the 1 or 2 settings I needed to change that I overlooked. I feel a lot more leet today.

All 01 optimised biosses are not Pi busters... Better use a regular bios for that
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    Hi all,

I just finished building my computer. Components are as follows:

    Intel i7 2600K cpu
Asus Rampage IV Extreme (B3 stepping)
    EVGA Geforce GTX580 SLi
    Crucial M4 128gb SSD
    Silverstone 1000W powersupply
Corsair 600T graphite with side window

I just finished overclocking my cpu, 4.8GHz @ 1.415, Intel Burn Test stable. I have attached a screenshot.

I'm not sure why cpu-z is reading 1.424 volts but in the bios it is set at 1.415!

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/55892031@N06/6325738760/

Let me know what you think!

Rentay at a guess you have LLC set at 100%. In this case when you heavy load the system CPU voltages actually increse slightly.

Sergio VRM on 350 ??? what setting is that??? I have the rest of the settings dialed in for a fully stable 5.0ghz 2600K. Maybe with 350 vrm I coudl lower CPU voltage a touch???

I have to turn off HT on BF3 also running 3 x 580 GTX in Tri Sli and latest drivers, most running multiple cards have to for some reason.

VCCIO will normally be set manually if you OC to 1.10/1.15v as its related to your Memory voltage by being 0.5v lower than Memory voltage!

Example 1.6V modules should have it set to 1.10v

Pazza316: I have LLC set to 75%! And VRM is set on 350.

No idea what else it could be. Just idling in Windows now, it is reading 1.424 core voltage!

BTW, I'm on bios 1904. Should I upgrade to 2001? If so, is there a link?

CPU-Z will not show the actual idle voltage!

Look at CoreTemp to see current VID voltage, should be around 1.0v for 1600mhz on a 2600K

One thing I have noticed in the bios is if I set my vcore to 1.415, the bios and cpu-z will read 1.425 (.010) increase.

I set vcore to 1.405 in Bios and now it is showing as 1.415! I am overclocked to 4.8GHz and have selected LLC to 75%.

Also I am running Bios 2001.

    Regards,

Edit: All stable using Bios 2001 4.8GHz @ 1.420! I had to quit installing MW3 half way through and it made Windows 7 not recognise my graphic cards and I had to reinstall Windows 7 which I found quite odd, so a word of caution!

I will try VRM at 350 tonight and see if it makes any noticable difference. I am totally stable at 5ghz though but I will see if it brings anymore stabiliy to power delivery etc. I take it thats the CPU VRM value or severa VRM values???? Dram etc???
