Bitfenix Alchemy series: sleeved cables for everyone - review

Bitfenix Alchemy series: sleeved cables for everyone by prava

Bitfenix is a company that understands the enthusiasts needs by listening to what the users have to say and develop optimal ways to integrate those needs into products.
As a result of such interaction with the community, Bitfenix has come with a line of sleeved cables, the Alchemy series; because even though at XS there is a trend towards "void your warranty", they know that not everybody has the time nor the knowledge to do it by themselves and, thus, brings us a solution for such users.

Also, the company accomplishes those objectives without compromises: as simple as a cable is, they keep full attention on every single detail, something that catches your eye as soon as you get the products.

The cables themselves come in individual plastic packages, so they arrive in perfect conditions. You can see how the orange of the cables stands out

The product range is as wide as it gets. Bitfenix offers pretty much every cable you could ever need in a computer. They have all sorts of splitters, ATX 24 pin cables, 8 pin ATX, 8 and 6 pin pci-e, SATA, etc.

White on white or white on black? Mmmm tough decision...

As wide as the product range is, the colour range doesn't fall short: you have pretty much every colour you could imagine, and they are all very vivid and shiny. And not only that, they also offer plastic connectors colour matched with the coloured sleeving. You can see how vibrant the colours are (and the pictures doesn't make them justice, let me tell you that).

The quality of the product itself is also outstanding. The heat-shrink is very well applied and very very even, and the big cables without it look fantastic. Also, they are quite well build: I've been abusing them in order to shape them correctly for my needs and have seen no problems what-so-ever.

All in all, a very nice product. I have to admit that it gets a little tricky to bend the cables in order to shape them for your needs and thus it could be a good idea to make them thicker but, comparing them with other sleeved cables I had in the past I can only say that these look much better. I have no idea what material did they use for them, but they look and feel astonishing. A good product for those who don't want to void their warranties but want to look it the nicer the better.

A huge thanks to Thomas Kuhlenbach from Bitfenix for sending me this nice cables to review them

Nice photographs. The colours certainly do look clean and bright. The actual braiding seems to be extremely good quality too.

I can't believe no one brought this up before, how about Bitfenix Alchemy sleeving kits so we can sleeve our PSU cables and fan cables?

2 out of 3 6pin PCIe extensions that Ive gotten dont work. They are too big to fit in the connector on any vid card Ive tried. Was there a bad batch or something?
