the stop on error thing is in linx settings.

Here's a post with a template i made for my cpu running at 4.2ghz. It should get you started:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post4824886

You'll have to tune CPU PLL and your dram timings to whatever you chip likes/what your ram is rated for.

Thanks for your help. I must have flicked off that setting when i first installed the program by accident. I did a little messing around and I've come to believe that my RAM is what is giving me grief when I try to overclock. I'm able to get it to 1600 with no problems, but even though it's rated at 2000, I can't run it that high without my computer failing to boot (while pushing roughly 4+ GHz clocks). I don't know what voltages I could bump to improve that. Anyways, I do remember the guys I got the RAM from saying they had to put it down to 1866 to get it through their stability test, I'm assuming they have some kind of program like memtest86.

    Here is another submission;

    Kyprioth | Core i7 990x [6C 6T] @ 4610.7MHz | 1.450 | ASUS Rampage III Black Edition | Water | 3045A751

There's so many runs because I had to go to work, and I needed it to still be running when I got home so I could take the screenshot with LinX still running. I assume the GFlops are low because the RAM is at 1600, but my chip isn't a sandybridge and i'm not going for the 5GHz club so it shouldn't matter if i'm below 100 for this submission.

Any tips on improving the RAM speed or timings at all? It's two triple DIMM packs of Corsair Dominator GT.

Dont know if it`s ok with the rules(only 2gb of memory and 2 cores enabled) but decided to post this quick linx run.

    http://store.picbg.net/pubpic/F9/58/...1d17f1f958.jpg
Ambient arround 30 degrees, and no way my phase to cool this with more cores enabled. Also single channel required cause of the bclk(actually didnt tried dual channel may be it works too).

    EDIT:

I could not get 4core/8threads to work no matter how high vcore was set in bios, it would error. I also got lower GFlops peaks in 8thread test - 113+ as oppose to 120+ in 4threads.

4.5GHz with HT off isn't much of a challenge for these 2011 packaged Gulftowns it seems...

I don't see much problem in doubleposting. People somehow tend to forget that they can delete posts of theirs, not just edit

Old Batch was 3048A259. Yes the Batch #s are very close. I actually like the new Batch # better lol. Either way I am very happy!

Well I ran the last chip A259 on the R3E, this new chip was on the OC. So a board comparison with the new chip will tell if it's better or worse than the previous A259.

I had it set to 25 runs and it didn't make it all the way through, so I didn't want to post a 'bogus' looking screenshot. Memory multi is 12x (1862MHz) Uncore 24x (3724MHz) 7-7-7-20-1T-60 timings.

P.S. Just edit your double post and delete it. The same thing happened to me and that's what I did. Thanks for pointing it out churchy

No new records yet for the recently released Sandy Bridge-E?

I can't wait to see how it does in the Gflops numbers. Tom's hardware indicates that 4.6Ghz is relatively easy to reach. Wish I could afford one of these.

You can keep posting the results, but I don't know when/if I am going to have time to update the OP.
I don't even have enough time for sleep these days with work and postgrad stuff going on, let alone reading and posting on forums daily.
The OP needs a revamp to create better formatting, and it's a lot of time. Time I do not have on my hands right now.
I am very sorry, guys (and gals).

Just started testing LinX tonight with a 3930k, gflops are just over 100 at 4.8ghz.

Hi, is this ok? Just got my I7 980 today

Going to try it a tiny bit higher +1 BCLK at a time too.

Awwww, 181 BCLK and 4533 Mhz = crash

I dont think my Antec Kuhler H2O 620 is good enough for going over 1.4v, but for a cheapo midrange cooler its doing a damn fine job on a 4.5 Ghz I7 980.

That shouldn't be surprising as long as it is run with one thread per core so there is no HT degradation. 18C difference between maximums of core 2 and core 5, wonder what's going on there.

    Nice run Ace.

At first my temps were <70 at stock volts with 4 ghz, and hitting 99-100 at 4.5 ghz

I fixed it by adding a third high CFM at the top case exhaust, but as an intake fan blowing onto the CPU area, and two more of the same fans were already set up as push pull exhausts on the h2o 620s radiator.

This dropped my temps to <60 at 4 ghz, and <90 at 4.5 ghz on a cheap cooler

The fans are silent too - 1500 RPM Xigmatek fans hat push 63 cfm

I should buy another two of them for my case intake fans.
