QC means Quad Core and, for sure, IB 1155 will be 4C/8T, just look at the die.

guys im stuck at 50x,me think its a bios issue or i got a very bad chip
anyway i will ask for a new bios
You can try to raise BCLK .
If the cpu can run higher than 5000Mhz , wou will be able to reach it this way .

    Keep up !

I still think we will see 6 core on 1155, but even if we don't, in all honestly a upgrade to 2011 and 6 cores would be little more than a VERY expensive side-grade for extremely minimal performance gain.

I'm pretty sure 6c/12t will be limited to LGA 2011. I haven't seen/heard Intel or anyone say LGA 1155 will get 6 core love.

no one on XS has retail 2700k yet? PcCI2iminal can you please test your sample for max multi.. i really want to know if it's worth to buy some of these..

i don't want to buy it and find out that they average the same max multi (just are the same 2600k wafers with 100mhz bump)

I don't know how intel bins these.. do they just test if it's ok with 3.9mhz and say ok move to 2700k bin

we tested CPUs over at UK while at LITS show, i think we were given a 5.4 chip that was tested out of 3 chips and also intel gave us another 4x chips and the worst one could not even clock to 5GHZ LMAO, and others were all 5, 5.1 chips JJJJJUNK

Ugh, there is really no point in buying this then huh. Best to save the $ and buy the 2600k lotto ticket.

i don't know why they have this damn clock wall but it sure as hell is there and makes me lose motivation to bench. Overclocking is still fun and all but it would be more challenging if an end user could tweak the system to get more speed out of it rather being stuck to the chip clock wall

No one would bother even thinking about AMD for benching/OCing if Intel didn't give them a good reason to do so.

I bought a 2600k on saturday and it wudnt go above 4.4 without stupid volts.
Returned it on monday and ended up buying a 2700k on tuesday for £20 cheaper lol. Running it at 4.6 on 1.28volts!

Looks like intel have done one on us and simply rebadged the better binned 2600's

guys maybe offtopic but i would like to say this

the more i try chips the more i realize that real cores are the way to go, see most games are bugged with HT, look BF3 you enable HT and game is a stutter heaven, you disable and its smooth as should be

i want the 6 core thats for sure

    cheers to all
