Ya, I have all the power saving stuff turned off. Was trying out a few games on it. No telling how much the external sound box draws off the usb.

Edit. Nothing I tried made any difference in watts. Used best power saving options in bios and W7. Unplugging usb powered sound card made no difference either. Must be the old PS I'm using and/or the tuner card.

    Anyone tried undervolting Llano?

If you have a bit time to spare, please try how low you can go at 3000MHz.
The model does not matter as long as it has 4 cores enabled.
Test with IntelBurnTest 2.52, 4 threads, custom size of 3200MB, 10 loops or more.

With air or normal water cooling only.

ps. Post the batch code too (the second line XX XXXXXXX).

    Nope.
I am not interested in GPU at all this time.
Surely loading the GPU simultaneously with CPU will increase the heat (around <20W).
The heat will not be a issue here anyway.

I found how to use the Turbo multipliers. So now I have access up to 24X. Anyway, I'm still priming at 153x21 (3.2Ghz) with 1.48v. Anything above that is an instant fail. How do you guys manage to clock up to 3.6Ghz with this chips? Any suggestions? Didn't try higher voltage (+0.050v CPU, +0.100v CPU-NB, everything else on auto). HWMonitor reports 55°C full load with the Phenom II X6 stock cooler.

    Llanos are very well binned.
Generally the higher-end models OC much better than the lower-end ones.

Been working on building a base with Prime. Idea on clock range for 1+hrs of Prime to aim for? Can't seem to see many long time stability results with this platform.

So true. Any type of real load will result in throttling on ambient cooling.

    Actually, nevermind.
These bioses have none of the changes I have requested

Their build dates are also very old, in the end of august.

    Changelog:

All variants have now V1.1.0.3 AGESA.
Sumo VBIOS up to date (latest Asus Lynx code)
Hudson3 FCH SATA code updated from version 3.2.1540.45 to 3.3.1540.14
Realtek LAN PXE code updated from version 2.38 (12/24/2010) to 2.43 (08/25/2011)*
Added "APU Northbridge Configuration" menu in "Advanced" tab (Bank Interleave control can be found here).
Added option to disable "Execute Disable Bit" to "CPU Configuration" menu.
Added "GPU Boost" option to Ai Tweaker menu (allows overclocking APUs with HD 6530D only...)*

Due certain bios bugs the upcoming APU models are not fully supported.
Waiting Asus to fix the programming errors in the bios code + add some missing features.

(* not used / available in all of the variants).

Update with Afuwin 32 or 64 bit flasher with "update all blocks" selected.
Asus EZ-Flash sometimes seem to leave some of the blocks intact.

btw. Atleast the "desktop" premium boards still have the NCLK ratio intact, which is a good thing in performance wise.

May I ask your specific setting to get stable at 1.1875v? I'm trying to achieve the same on my a75m-ud2h without much luck.

i've been searching the forum -- and google, actually --for a suitable thread to post this question (and this topic seems to fit the bill the best --, especially with stilt's participation; even though i'm feeling this eerie necro-posting vibe...): does anyone know of, heard of, any upcoming fixes for the AHCI issue? also the usb 3.0, but i'm not very concerned about it...

so far all i got are some old articles and forum posts describing the problem ("oh yeah, you cant go past 106-107mhz with ahci enabled") but nothing, even a hint of a future fix... gonna hit the asus forum and check amd catalyst page. there's a new one, maybe they got some raid-chipset updates out as well...
