Got ahold of a nice horizontal compressor!

Got called to degass some fridges and spotted some gold!

    RA-48-L-83TE

    787.0 BTU/H (230w)
    4GS Minerol oil
    Rotory

I'm thinking of making a chiller to help cover some unwanted vet bills (Never use rat poisens, they are bad for us all!)

design temp of say +6degrees celcious in a nice moderatly compact case. Toying with design ideas, charge will probably be R-152a due to its good energy usage at that temp.

Coolness! I'm going to watch for ideas.... Of course, nothing I do is ever..... compact......

By the way, if you ever happen to "stumble" on a Tecumseh HGA9468ZXA or similar..... let me know... -15C and a maximum of 2110Watts.... ~7200BTU/H... ^_^

Well I'm thinking now it will be a great comp for the vacuum freeze dryer project I got an embraco FGV80AW with an oil cooler that may make for a good project, right now my money is going to the puppies treatment, after He's recovered from the rat poisen I'll start geting parts! dug through all my gear and got the oil sep, solenoid valves out and the receivers. too small to use a TXV so that negates the need of the receiver.

Hope the little guy gets better.

My project is the same way. When I'm done paying for cancer treatments I'll finally be able to get started... I'm getting soooooooo excited.

In the mean time I watch everybody else do theirs.

Ya, another 74 dollar of Vitamin K1, a bottle lasts a week been 2 weeks of treatment, next week poor guy gets blood taken for a cloting factor test, ironicaly that is only 64 bucks!

Any ways for the vacuum freeze drier, 1st stage R410a runing at -55f, second stage R-22 or R-290 at -35f so far, I have yet to calculate the compression ratios so may need a 3rd stage that will dump to air, was going to go with water but that seriously effects its portibility.
