    Cool Ando420 and Snappy1 @ Team OCAU'S first "real" play with Ln2 and 6Ghz

Hello all, Myself and my friend and fellow OCAU member had a bench night/day over the weekend for the MSI comp over @ OCAU http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...d.php?t=977011

We mostly benched 3D05 for the comp but just HAD to run some 2D when we hit 6Gz

This was our score with a 9800GTX+ (comp had GPU restrictions and must be on 775)

The 9800 Just could not keep up with the 450's, so In the end we put her under SS @ -51 for a bit of fun (and a huge amount of curiosity )......by that time (after benching till 6:30am then starting again @ 12pm) we had some issues and are not sure if it was the card or not, we did get her into windows @ -51 tho

After 12 hours+ benching, crap loads of Ln2, 2 cards (one @ -51), 2 mobos, 2 sets of ram and a CPU we have no dead gear

We were happy to hit 6Ghz first time out

I am also looking for a CPU pot as they are hard to find in Australia, I would be VERY HAPPY if I could get a point in the right direction to purchase one

Nice work there boys Good to see a few more people getting into this

Did you find your max fsb on that CPU / Board? Should be a bit more in it and this will help with your ram speed

Thanks mate! Im getting a pot in the next few weeks so I can start benching Ln2 at home

We didnt find the max FSB for the combo, we needed sleep not long after hitting 6Ghz (it was 7am and we had been awake 24h) so we pulled it down to dry it out for a bit, when we went for it again the next day we had some issues and never got better then 5.8

Im sure we can hit 6.1+ with that setup
