I'd bet on the latter! hehe Of course this would be a great learning experience, as I've never really done any significant volt mods. The last one resulted in my damaging a 1GB-kit of Corsair Twin-X4000PRO. I did get it to run at 280FSB, if only for a few hours.Originally posted by Holst
The idea of this compo is that you try new things... I want to see you with a vmod !!! or a dead card... one or the other :P
Word to the wise: never try a VDIMM mod, without a digi-volt meter. My friend sent me a little V-mod kit (50k pot, and grabbers etc) and taped the 50k pot in place marking it, for the voltage steps. Even though he had the same board, all boards are not created (exactly) alike, even if their the same revision.
Hey I just got a brainstorm (it's raining in here). Why don't we allow those of us whom are always sticking our fingers in electrical sockets, to start a contest determining who the winners of this contest will be? Now that contest I'd have chance at winning hehe. This sure is going to be fun though, I have to say. I can't wait to see some of the contraptions which will be born. Frankenstein Graphic Cards Inc
