Impressive:thumbsup:
I'll stick to watercooling though... this stuff won't fit in my case
btw I can PiFast up to 242 fsb with my modded 8rda+ 1.1
Is 232 the limit on yours?

Friend: Do you have a spare PSU lying around?
Me: No why?
Friend: My PSU just blew up, I think the second 8800GTX might have been too much for it to handle
Me: what PSU was that again?
Friend: Antec 480w
Me:........
I can go higher but I was low on LN2, I just need to fill my 20L bottle and I'll be ready to try higher.
Condensation is going to rape your board. I HIGHLY HIGHLY SUGGEST that you insulate the container and the surrounding area of the board. Not only will it give you a few C lower, but your board wont be as likely to be killed. ALso get some more volts through that BH5![]()

Did your board short out on you yet? Cuz that's a LOT of condensation.
Currently building my i7 920 rig
i7 920 - Gigabyte x58-UD3R - 6GB Corsair DDR 1600
GTX285 - Intel X25-M + 1.2TB - Watercooled
The mobo is A-OK !
it survived more then a couple of freeze attacks like this one.
^ haha hardcore mobo you got there
thats hardcore lol, roffletoast @ your cpu ITS FROZE UP![]()
awesome, but you did it inside?
you madamn!
truly xtreme, you put tomshardware to shame.

10x alot dude !
Your processor froze up!
Overclocking is nice, but please know what you are doing.
If it was me messing around with that stuff I would use a lot better insulation and use some of that nice red fluid stuff to prevent condensation on the board.
Also pick the place where you want to do this more carefully. Afaik this isn't good for your bookshelf and display and other stuff in the room...
the system is amazing, but the results arent so impressive....
i guess you need a better chip![]()

u guys should realize that while condensation is still in its 'frozen' state it wont short a mobo, not until it melts... so if he turns the comp off before it starts to melt, it shouldnt harm it
... or will it?
can you see the light? is it shining too bright? can you see the light at the end of the tunnel, i know i do, i know its true.
Yes, ice is conductive since it still technically is water. So, it would short even if it wasn't melted. I'm actually very suprised that board is not dead LN2 is far worst on condensation then DI is. I again highly suggest you insulate your board. You may not be this lucky next time.

100% water is not conductive, it only becomes so when ions are introduced. Furthermore, with water in a solid state, ions are much less likely to interact with water's hydrogen bonding because of the rigid latice structure that forms.
very nice. Hurry up and get your mobile!![]()

Which is exactly the reason why ice doens't usually short things out, but the possibility is still there. I have had things short out from frost as there was 0 water anywhere and only frost.

Pure Ice and pure water are not conductive it is the contaminants that have free electrons that will allow the conduction of electricty.
You need to insulate that puppy, To quote Gary "Insulation is your friend"
silicon glue .... may help
get better copper cup maybe...
yah but theres flakes of metal and stuff all over the mobo, so it will pick em up easyOriginally posted by chilly1

also i think i heard gary say once, "the white stuff is your enemy"

Oh man thats crazy, makes us geeks (not me) proud. Still looks sweet.
what about higher voltages - with LN2 you should use everything provided by the board - or is 1,9V max. v-core on the Epox? even my lousy un-modded nf7 is able to provide 1,92-1,94 - okay, stable voltage isn't the term to be used in this context![]()
System
- Athlon XP2500+ @ 2280 MHz (228 x 10) @ 1,8V
- Abit NF7-S Rev. 2.0 D24 tictac (thx for FSB improvements
)
- Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro @ 460/365 MHz
- TwinMOS PC3200 @ 2,5-3-3-11 @ 228 MHz @ 3,0V
- watercooled by Heattrap
nice, but why did you put a Jelly Cap ontop of your container?
Overclocking made in Austria
Sweet, nice job. You need to insulate that sucker whether it's been fine before or not![]()
