    EVGA Z68 motherboards have arrived!

The EVGA Z68 motherboards have arrived! These motherboards based on the latest Intel Express Chipset offer incredible performance and overclocking with Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, and with the new Intel Smart Response Technology, users can combine a Solid State Drive with a traditional mechanical drive and receive both high performance and high storage capacity! Intel Smart Response Technology implements a storage I/O caching system to provide users with faster response times for frequently used applications.

The entire EVGA Z68 lineup has full support for SATA III/6G and USB 3.0 giving you the latest standards in high performance storage, and a forward thinking true next generation motherboard layout allows you to take control!

now eVGA get's there stuff sorted and spreads these like wildfire amongst reviewers iso of a limited bunch of overclockers only...

    Boards look cool to me...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Looks nice, but needs more SATA ports, and EVGA is quite late to the Z68 party, but better late than never.

Pfft, no M-ITX no interest form me.

I'd prefer a z68 m-itx mobo from them compared to Zotac.

I'm getting totally tired of red accents on everything. Can we just go to black everything so I can match any accent color with it?

Am I the only one that isn't overly impressed with these boards?

I.e. they don't really bring anything really impressive to the table/raise the bar (except the FTW with its drive bay hardware) compared to boards like the UD7 or MIVE-Z?

    Pros

    - Attractive board, excellent layout
    - Triple BIOS support with BIOS switch
    - Onboard power, reset, and clear CMOS buttons
    - Voltage read points
    - Huge bundle of accessories
    - EVGauge and ECP Panel are nice additions
    - Manual overclocking was very easy
    - ELEET is a great overclocking tool
    - A ton of PCI-E slots for GPU placement flexibility
    - Cheaper than most other NF200 boards

    Cons

    - UEFI BIOS looks like a legacy BIOS and has no mouse control
    - Memory clocking was not the best
    - Board overvolts when “without vdroop” is selected
    - Software voltage readings are low
    - Board needs a bit more voltage than others for 5Ghz
    - Dummy OC not up to par with competitor solutions
    - ECP Panel uses non standard screws that are not included (for the time being)
    - EVGauge cord is very short
    - Less SATA 6Gb/s and USB 3.0 ports than competitor boards
    - No labels on SATA cables

Different board. HWC reviewed the P67 not the Z68.

You think Z68 will be better? I do hope it will be, but new BIOS for Z68 would require maturation like their P67 line I would think.

I hope their Z68 boards are better! I am supporting EVGA.

They should really use intel gigabit controllers imo.

THE OVERCLOCKER is doing a feature on this board next issue and I'm pretty sure there will be some 01 damage coming soon on it

Jacob on EVGA forums stated the only thing to change between the Z68 and the P67 lineup besides the chipset, is that the Z68 offers SSD caching (no Virtu) and the FTW has an improved PMW. That's it. Nothing more. While I am happy when any MB brings competition to the consumer I think, in my opinion, that they are late and add nothing different that does not already exist. Furthermore, until they put a bios out for their P67 series that isn't bugged, I cannot see them putting one out for the Z68 that is not bugged since they are essentially the same boards.

I'm not too up to date on these 1155 EVGA boards and you aren't the first person that I've heard claim the the Evga P67 boards have issues. Whats the problem with the bios on their P67 boards?

A couple people on my team have had issues with getting the P67 to boot windows XP, among a couple other things.

Thanks Vince for the info about the overclocker article, I'll give it a read when it comes out

right...I read some reviews and Z68 has a bit better performance (for CPU tests too!)

This will make a good benching board, but for 24/7 operation EVGA is a poor choice of a motherboard manufacturer. Unless you find 4-6 months to get a new BIOS out of the door acceptable.
Some of the X58 board issues are STILL not fixed and it's been 4 months since the last BIOS update.
