    Samsung Galaxy S2 Benchmarks Review

My mini benchmark review of Samsung Galaxy S2 running stock clock 1.2 GHz.

    1.2 GHz CPU - 1 GB RAM - 16gb internal SD (+optional external 32GB) - SAMOLED screen

    Media playback abilities - MKV,AVI,DIVX,XVID,FLV,MOV,WMV. - x264,H264,xvid,MP4,AVC -
    (Personal test) Can playback h264 (high profile 720p@60fps) or MP4 - (1080p@30fps).

    Music playback - MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC.
(i am more of a video playback fan then plain music , but MP3s and FLAC play no problem)

    Download GLBenchmark 2.0.3
GLBenchmark 2.0 efficiently demonstrates several high quality real-time effects which were only made possible by Open GL ES 2.0 and expected to be popular with application developers:

    • texture based and direct lighting
    • bump, environment and radiance mapping
    • soft shadows
    • vertex shader based skinning
    • automatic levels of detail (LOD)
    • multi-pass deferred rendering
    • noise textures
    • ETC1 texture compression

The only quake3droid on the market is a sound board. Maybe they took it down.

SD Card test, internal build in flash has some amazing read speeds. For comparison external SD and my Captivate internal flash.

There is but by how much will depend on game or benchmark, quick answer is - its slower. Its not readily available i think they launched it recently in India, if you buying tegra version for games it will be fine , nvidia is throwing its influence and many games are sponsored or optimized for tegra .

For me tegra is bad , as nvidia severely neglected media decoding in tegra , can't even playback high profile h264 let alone HD material, even single core Galaxy S1 beats it on that front.

There are rumors tegra version will have SLCD instead of AMOLED and 8GBs internal SD instead of 16GB, 5megapixle camera and only 720p recording vs 8MP and 1080p on Exynos , but that is just rumor at this time,

From RFS to EXT4. If I'm not mistaken.

As far as i know there is none. You seen overclocked SGS2 i can stably OC mine to 1.6GHz most will do between 1.4-1.5.,but no point really , i in fact under-cloak and under-volt , since its fast other then benchmarks there is no visible difference for me anyway. With one kernel you can even OC GPU independently lol but that is just crazy.

You can, but you need to have a custom kernel.

    Litening Rom eh UltraNeo* 6.1?

I can run some tests for the Three Network UK Mechromancer if you want but during the day I get average 100-300k Down / 50-150K (peak times) off peak 500-700k Down 150-250k Up/
for those wanting to test 3G/HSPA/HSDPA/HSUPA there is a code to switch modes/ if not available in OS menu.
In your dialler use the sys code *#301279# to change the Network mode.
