Man no kidding good job guys. Hey Rad what would you call that style of shot of the flower? Macro? Bokeh? Sometimes I can't distinguish the difference between the two..

Macro = Macrophotography is close-up photography, usually of very small subjects.

Bokeh = In photography, bokeh ( /ˈboʊkə/ boh-kə,[1] Japanese: [boke]) is the blur,[2][3] or the aesthetic quality of the blur,[4][5][6] in out-of-focus areas of an image, or "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light.

Hey folks I have a buddy in the UK that has started a new photography forum and they are looking for new members. I would like to post a link to the forum but I do not want to break any rules. Not looking to take members from here, but there are some pretty talented photographers here that would be a great asset to my buddies forum.

I guess I am asking if it is alright to post a link and invite to my buddies forum here in the photography section?

    Thanks.

It's not a selective color image, it just seems the white snow and not so blue sky just washed things out a little too much.

Playing with the macro tubes and the 70-300mm:

Added some gaussian blur, similar concept to what Lestat's done.

1avatar i truly hope you were far FAR away from that bear or in a vehicle which could flee quickly or in a protective cage....
awesome shot man, the way it worked it almost makes it look like a High-Key photo.

strange though, the sky should have been dark unless you had to use a slower shutter speed to get the bear lighting correctly.
but either way its way awesome.

here is tonights adition from my library.

    50D w/ 50mm F/1.4
    ISO 100, F/2.8
and as usual some photoshop magic.

I didnt realize it was metering fine and detected f-stop, but it wasn't setting it. The tubes were new...
I switched the order of them around and it seems f-stop is working now (4 out of 5 times), but autofocus is slow as hell with one of the tubes, and is non-existant with two or more.

little manual fun with the Rokinon 35mm F/1.4 and the 5D Mark II
this is truly one of the most impressive lenses i have seen and owned... and only $499.00 retial.
you dont get the 3D pop of a Zeiss but it has better CA control (almost no CA on a FF camera) and a few other percs.
