no that is AM3+ design guidelines but you can do a few things tor educ the vdroop, such as turn off turbo core, flash to BIOS F5B.

Come on gigabyte, give new UD3 bios asap!!!

They will have bios to fix it, but they should have allready fixed all these problems.
Look how good ASUS CHV bios is compared to GA-990FXA-UD3/5

I've currently got my Crosshair 4 Extreme on Ebay so that I can get a UD7 as the LLC and voltage spikes during load are pissing me off!!!

My old MSI 790FX GD70 was amazing in that respect, Vcore was solid, Never rose or dipped during load or idle.

UD3 is pissing me off, i put voltage in bios to 1.475v, it results to 1.45v in windows.
In load it stays at that 1.45volts but suddenly few times each minute it ups voltage to 1.575volts without any reason.

These measurements are done with digital multimeter.

UD5 and UD7 are fine tough...

This is design feature, eg. the board suppose to have Vdrop at load.
What some users want is no Vdrop or less of it and for that Gigabyte will hopefully release new BIOS rev. soon. Even though My UD7 has Vdrop it clocks my 1090T slightly better than my old CHIVF. I was very happy with Asus board till it started having stability issues and eventually I've sent it for RMA, but I'm equally happy if not more with UD7 now. It clocks like a dream and comes with one BIOS option I love - Turbo Core Boost.

Thuban and Zambezi. Nothing you cant do in AOD, but it is so much easier when done from BIOS.

Not in Formula, anyway what does it do in your case?
Boost to turbo clocks with 5 cores loaded instead of normal 3 or something else?
