All right, I'll return the thread to its original topic.
Ok, so this thing is driving be friggin crazy. I have the rev 1 version. I got the serial kit and the bleed kit thinking it would make this thing a cake walk. I am now going on roughly 4 hours of trying to get this thing to bleed, but all it does is keep recycling the air. Sure, some small bubbles come out of the peep hole at the top, but nothing out of what I assume is the bleed tube. I have two pumps, one MCP355 and one PMP400. At first I couldn't even get it to prime the pumps properly, so I pulled my blocks out of the loop so that all that was left was the triple rad, a 140.1 and the res, still no joy. I have tried slowing the pumps down, no difference except the bubbles slow down, but still get cycled right back through the pumps. I tried running just one, but then the pump gets air stuck in it and starts running dry. I have tried it on it's back with the res facing the ceiling and upright with the res facing forward and everywhere in between. I have shaken it and stirred it, but nada. I am about to toss this and go back to my dual HK top with separate res. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Can you post pics to ease finding root of problem/to illustrate?
I used a T-line to get it to bleed and pretty much have all the air out of the line. But the res itself was not bleeding. I think between the serial connector (the plastic insert) and the bleed kit, it just wouldn't let the air stay in the res long enough to bleed out. Once I put a temp t-line in the air just escaped through that. It's kinda disappointing since I paid for the bleed kit for that specific purpose. I could have skipped the serial kit and kept a tube in between that I had made and skipped the bleed kit and just used the t-line. This has been a big disappointment for me since everyone raved about easy it was to bleed once the kit was added. Also, I am not sure what pics would show you since you could here the air, but couldn't see it since it never built up in the res to escape.

So, how important are the heat sinks for the 400s do you guys feel? I bought early... (so I have a rev 1.0 res) and am hoping I won't be regretting it. I moved so it's been sitting on a shelf for a few months (along with 2 400 pumps) but I'm planning to install here shortly. I also assumed that the water flow itself would keep the pumps safely cool. Thoughts?

Yes, bleed pipe is included from Rev1.2.

Hmm. So my understanding then is that those who ordered the original rev 1.0 do not have this capability correct? And I'm assuming that a rev 1 will compound the DDC internal heat issue because they are so close to the sides of a typical 5.25 bay?
Any recourse if we have a rev 1 to swap for a rev 1.1/1.2 (so sinks can be purchased and installed) to avoid shortening the lifespan of the DDCs? I purchased 2 along with the 402x2 originally.![]()

Wow you guys weren't kidding about the res being hard to bleed. It took me about 6 hours to get rid of the majority of air and 2 days running nonstop to quiet downI really wish that I had gotten a newer revision as I have the first one. It sucks that retailers are still selling the original one. Got mine Monday and was unhappy when I saw that it was the old one. Only option I had was to eat shipping costs to return it plus 20% restocking fee

If you read the thread Tim from Koolance made a post about how they are sending bleed kits out for free to people who bought one of the first 2 revision reservoirs. I received mine yesterday.
Well I bought the serial connector and bleed kit and started from scratch again. I watched Martins video where he fills from the left side and it flows to the right. I must be doing something really wrong because no matter what I try if I fill from the left it never ever flows into the right chamber. I'm about ready to throw this damn thing out the window. Can someone please offer some advise.
I removed the res and its sitting on my desk. I have about 3' of tubing running into a swiftech cpu block. I filled the left side and no water flows into the right no matter what I do. So I drain the water and try blowing into the res. Guess what its totally sealed no air will flow with all of the right side plugs out. I guess that would explain why one of my pumps burnt up. What am I missing? PLEASE someone offer some advise.
Did you replace the right side long plug with the short plug to turn the res from dual-setup to single ?

I finally figured out whats up. The new plastic insert that came with the serial connector totally sealed off the left side. I put the original back in and now I have flow to the right side. Thanks Koolance![]()
I bought the 402x2 v1.2 with the bleed kit and serial kit. Only thing is I have read many posts and the Koolance instructions do not link all the kits together... In fact the serial kit had no instruction. I am confused.
What is the best configuration with all the kits?

If so I honestly wouldn't install the acrylic piece. It pretty much causes the left chamber to be unused. The U fittings connects P1 IN to P2 OUT on the RP-402X2. The bleed kit installs to the right hand size chamber. Supposedly it helps with bleeding, but I am not sure. I still have one hell of a time with it.
Kinda... I have the version 1.1/1.2 serial kit. It comes with plastic piece. It says to install in the bottom left. I can see he bleed kit goes in the top right.
I am just struggling as there has been no reviewer update for the later versions and new kits. Alot of the stuff here appears to be redundant.
