it's like the 3rd or 4th post in this thread so it's not hard to find.

has any site redone a performance analysis yet on the game with the new features? I would love to see what type performance differences there is with the new patches and features.
The problem here was that i pre-ordered the game, got it and then seen the news that it's not DX11 but DX9 after i already started playing it. If i'd knew this would happen i'd wait for the price to drop to like 15 EUR and then buy it. It would be cheaper, more refined because of the patches and better because of DX11.
What i got was a very expensive alpha version product. It was not exactly a great experience if you know what i mean.

It would be nice if they allowed a devmode and unlocked the console...

I refuse to participate in any debate with creationists because doing so would give them the "oxygen of respectability" that they want.
Creationists don't mind being beaten in an argument. What matters to them is that I give them recognition by bothering to argue with them in public.

Any comparisons yet? This fabled DX11 patch better give PC users everything they want. I've seen mods for Stalker SoC (DX9) that are visually more impressive than Crysis2 in DX9. There, I said it.

Once again you continue to make outlandish exaggerations. Yes, it was a console port and many PC users were let down.... a lot. But I cannot see how you can honestly say that the retail version was so unfinished and filled with bugs that it was an "alpha" build. When Doom 3 was leaked, THAT was an alpha build. As was the stolen source code for Half Life 2. I was an alpha tester for the very early Windows "whistler" XP releases and it would crash a half dozen times per day (on a good day).
Crysis 2 crashed ONCE on me during my first play-through but only because I had my graphics card overclocked too high. I'd love to see any game in alpha development play all the way through with such good reliability. I'm sure that this would be a dev's wet dream.

It would be nice if they allowed a devmode and unlocked the console...
Word. But if they don't, there are always trainers (yuck)...

We'll see how much of a "next-gen" game this really turns out to be. Listening to Crytec their making it out to be the next Crysis 1... pun intended.

I'm guessing it won't meet my expectations for what the origional game should of been, & what we were all expecting. At least they get a little props from me for sticking to their promise and actually releasing a DX11 patch, lost a bet that they wouldn't.

they removed benchmark for technical reasons

    translated
Unfortunately the DX11 benchmark timedemo was removed at the last minute for technical reasons.
It's possible that we'll release it at a later date but that's far from confirmed at present.
We needed to concentrate on getting the DX11 update ready and could not afford The time on the benchmark.

Hmm... MyCrysis's servers have gone down for maintenance. I'm sure they're making the updates to the site so we can download this update as well.

Something seriously wrong with thoses benchmark .. 1st, the benchmark is not available with the patch, Crytek have annonce they have remove it cause it was need some rework .. 2) this site explain they have got the update and game by EA and the update is not the final version.. but when i said wrong.. how the 580 loose 13fps DX9>DX11 average and minimal, and the 6970 loose only 3fps ( DX9>11 1920x1080 ) ?? ( understand i don't say that for the scores of AMD, but for the drop for the 580 ....)

lol mods moved it under nvidia..

according to Crytek, GTX 480 gets ~ 35fps avg. @ 1080p with everything on
    http://www.mycrysis.com/news/crysis_...e-for-crysis-2
    http://www.gamefront.com/files/20490...ra_upgrade.pdf

    The new Ultra spec enables:
    1. Object: Tessellation, Parallax Occlusion Mapping
    2. Particles: Shadows, Particle Motion Blur
    3. Post Processing: High Quality Motion Blur and DOF
    4. Shading: Contact shadows, Realtime Local Reflections
    5. Shadows: Realistic Shadows with Variable Penumbra
    6. Water: DX11 version of ocean and water volumes
The owners of high end recommended graphics cards, such as the NVIDIA 480 GTX or equivalent, should be able to run the game with Ultra settings at a resolution of 1080p with an average frame rate of 35 fps.

Well.... 6 hours later I decided to peel myself away from playing Crysis 2 with DX11 + ultra texture pack and WOW!!!

I must admit I was skeptical of Crytek releasing a 'patch' to add DX11 and high resolution textures, because no company that I can recall has ever truly delivered an upgrade that completely changed a games experience. To my astonishment, Crytek truly did deliver a fan-f*cking-tastic patch that made me completely forget to report back to you guys on how it was.

The detail on EVERYTHING is greatly enhanced. lighting, shadows, dust and debris, explosions, etc are ALL better. In some cases they were completely different from what I remember from playing it through only a month ago.

Lemme take some screenshots of it with everything maxed. brb.
