    Intel Sandy Bridge LGA2011 ES

    Just found this on ebay

    I doubt an established seller would kill their rep over $1k. meh. Too bad you couldn't find a board to put it in.

    It's not a fake. The guy has been selling ES for years. I believe he is connected or works for a Taiwan mobo manufacturer and gets these samples from intel to test their mobo and then resells them on ebay. The problem is... where to find a mobo?

    I actually would bet if this guy has an ES hookup he could dig up a 2011 if you asked nicely$$.

    that would be my question too other than hes not in the US, prob much harder for Intel to press charges or track it

    My guess is the 8c/16t's will be E7 Xeon's with locked multipliers and lower clocks than the Desktop SB-E's (6c and 4c.)

    As there is no competition on the market right now, there won't be any 8C/16T for desktop from the beginning, check the roadmaps.

    Q19D is a A1 Sample, there newer Samples out with B0 Stepping and 3GHz (3.3GHz with Turbo) @ 8 Cores / 16 Threads and 20MB L3 (TDP 150W).

    No, most Engineering Samples are locked. Only the samples for XE or K CPUs are unlocked.
