THX. Now it can explain why Zambezi is postponed, and why Dirk was left.

Well yes, wrong from this thread in particular.

The claimed FX-8130P launch speeds of 3.8GHz (4.2GHz turbo) misread
    from Wombat's sheet here:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=498

While it actually says 3.2GHz +1.2GHz turbo... The misread numbers are
now all over the internets from BSN to Anandtech and so on....

    Regards, Hans

However AMD could disperse all of the rumours pretty easily by issuing a simple press release explaining the what and how.
We don't comment on unannounced products and definitely don't comment on rumors. Any customer that is under NDA with AMD knows the schedules.

That makes sense, hopefully it is dicated by demand for those server chips. Cray are already waiting.

I understand and agree what you say about rumours floating around. I think AMD should be more aggressive here and react to them. I know you always said AMD doesn't release benchmarks before launch, but this looks like a good moment to make a little exception - to help the mobo's sell and to stop some competitor sales...
I am not making any comments about client products. Because server and client are using the same architecture I was trying to be helpful in the past. I get slammed in forums, called a liar (and worse), I have obscenities posted to my blog. Sorry, done with that world. I don't have time for the hassle. Let the enthusiasts battle it out, I don't care to get involved in that any more.
While I work for AMD, my posts are my own opinions.

If you guys are so tired of the baseless rumors why don't you stop posting links to them in every forum known to man? They only do it because it gets them hits (ad $$$) otherwise they wouldn't have the incentive to make provocative BS up.

+2 - Don't let it get you down JF-AMD - your opinion is still highly respected, people find it much easier to type rubbish hiding behind keyboards than if they were to meet you in person mate (Bit like car drivers )

I was afraid it would happen some day and I am sorry to hear it did.

The point I am trying to get across is, you surely have noticed, being a member of several enthusiast boards, that there is huge interest, lots of emotion and anticipation regarding Bulldozer. So why not have a person from the desktop team come and be a "semioffcial watcher" - ie. monitor the temperatures, explain things, straighten out the fud, etc. That person would be more in the know regarding desktop and you wouldn't take any undeserved blame for what is happening outside your own yard. Lots of misunderstanding could be avoided that way.

    I'm sorry to hear that.
Could it be a bad forum choice? XS seems to be pretty well moderated.

I would not believe that sheet either. I happen to know what the real slide looks like and not the Photoshopped version. Plus it does not hurt to have an actual CPU on my desk.
Why do people claim to know something they do not and then write about it.
