    D5's don't like thick coolant, mine lost a huge amount of flow when i used an antifreeze mix.

    RD-30 is 5.3 GPM (20 LPM) and 33 FT (10m) head. It is rated at 45watts @ 24VDC. I'm currently using the Panworld PX-40 which is not quite as good in term of pressure (4.1m / 13.45ft head, 30LPM 7.92GPM @ 45 watts). I agree with what others have said said here, good pressure is important and it can be tricky using aquarium style pumps.

    @ the OP: I don't even like 45watts of heat dump... 80+ watts would just be ridiculous/insane IMHO.

    DDC is like high torque engine whereas D5 is like high power engine?
