avx is a setting within the burntest program?
no - you need sp1 for win 7 and the updated avx test from intel. then you should get over 100 gflops. And a shed load of heat. Be warned.
Hi guys, got everything installed in my new Z68 Extreme4 but every time I connect my eSata HDD the computer slows down to a crawl, apart from not being to see that drive either in Windows 7 64 bit.
The drive is only eSata 2 whilst the connection is eSata 3 (and I think powered whilst my drive isn't). Has anyone seen this problem with theirs P67 Extreme boards?
Thanks!

all of a sudden out of the blue im getting the double boot with 1.61....wow!
No idea what you guys are doing to get the double POST bug. I haven't had that problem since UEFI 1.6A on my B2 board.

This may be old but I found that the Offset mode is not as good as Fixed mode...the Offset mode needs more Voltage under load to be stable and sometimes it sparks really high, like .1V higher than setting. It seems to me that it's not mature enough to be 24/7 usable.
i run fixed at 1.4 @ 4.9 stable

o all having double post problems is pll overvoltage enabled ??? If so i have found that with it enabled and a high oc it boots and gives me a 50 or 51 code on the debug reboots and starts up fine. For the life of me cant figure out what causing it to happen because i wanna do 4.8 but cant stand the fact that it double boots

Hello, sorry my english.
You can pass the voltages and how to use options of the OC Bios.
I use bios 1.60A, Extreme4 + 2500K + 2x2 Gskill Ripjaws X 7-8-7-24 1.50v.
Using activated c-state, PLL overvolte Enable, Power Saving Enable, Spread Spectrum AUTO, offset +0.50 and LLC 4.
This stable fullload Linx, Prime95, 3dmarks, games, idle sometimes BSOD using memory 2133 cas9 1.56v, no BSOD idle using memory 1600 cas7 1.50v(stock).
I tested the bios 1.70 and had a problem with boot, cursor was blinking and would not enter in win7.
My Over.

^^ The Asrock Instant Flash works very well. I still prefer to flash from pure DOS when the option is there, but I.F. works just fine.

Ket I don't belive that you need as much CPU PLL and VTT voltage.
1,709V for PLL
and 1,1V for VTT because you have high clocked RAM would be sufficient
VCCSA should be leaved on Auto (0,925V) as it has no impact on stability.

Another happy (for now...) Extreme4 user here.
I'm using the latest 1.70 bios from asrock site. I did some minor adjustments in the UEFI:
2500k @ 45x w/ fixed 1.275v set in bios, PLL ov off, Turbo on, all power savings/C-states on, LLC at lv2, all other volts settings manually set but pretty much default.
Everything looks OK, temps are great but one thing is bugging me. UEFI/CPU-Z/HWmonitor/etc. all read the vcore as expected with given settings at idle and load.
But using Real Temp 3.67, whenever I launch some stress test, be it Prime95, Linx, OCCT the VID reading goes from ~1.22v at idle to 1.366v at full load! No other SW reading does that, they all stay at ~1.27v. I know SW readings are not fully accurate but that Real Temp load VID reading is really bugging me. I don't know for sure if I'm stable at 1.275v or 1.366v...
I read this thread from start to finish, searched the Real Temp thread but found nothing like what I'm getting here.
Any ideas?
