    Certainly had me chuckling.

I just think people projections are off. 2-3 weeks hardlaunch? Doubt it.

Nothing we have see adds up to that type of launch date.

Usually I would have silicon sometimes a month before.........

Then we would see board leaks....with older cpu parts..

Then we would see coolaler forums claim WR's on unreleased hardware and violate NDA doing so.....

Then we would see actual hardware leaks in china, japan, taiwan for sale early.......

I agree, there's no way BD is hard launching in June, the leaks are just too spotty. It's going to be mad for the next few weeks though, that's for sure.

Damn that really sucks for AMD if they won't release BD in June. I guess too many sites were saying that June was the expected release month. I have a feeling people are tired of waiting and will just get SB.

    Touche Sir...
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

And the saga continues! The Mystical BullDozer, where the hell is this thing? I have been waiting almost 4 YEARS NOW to buiold a Dual Socket Server set up based off of Bulldozer. My Final D.F.I AMD Board started taking a crap about 2 months ago, and I was just recently forced to upgrade my Server to a SuperMicro Intel X8SAX SOCKET 1366 Intel set up. Blasphemy, I know but I just could not wait any longer for the obvious reasons already mentioned.
Could not swing the Money for a Dual Socket AMD G34 Supermicro board and the single socket AMD Supermicro boards are all gimped for PCI-E bandwidth as I need the X8 slot to run at X8 for my Areca 1231ML Raid Controller Data Bandwith transfer speeds to me are paramount and I'll be damned if X4 PCI-E is what I will settle for on a server board with a $1000.00 Raid Controller. Also another negative attribute on the AMD G34 Single socket boards by supermicro is there is only 2 USB Ports ...WTF is up with that on a workstation board.

so I am currently running a X58 Chipset with a i7-950 and do not think that highly of it!

Wasting my first post on this but w/e.
You guys assume BD won't be out soon because there are no leaks (at least leaks not labeled as fake) but at the same time there are no Llano leaks either and yet we know it's shipping since march 31.
Another point that has to be made is that the most recent official statement about BD is this:
"David Wong - Wells Fargo Securities, LLC : Okay, great. And when you expect to bring Bulldozer platforms out at the end of the summer, do desktop and server platforms come out at about the same time? Or does server come out later than desktop?

Richard Bergman: So in the last call, we indicated early summer for desktops and late summer for servers. And that's still where we're at."

    quote from Q1 2011 Earnings Call April 21 http://seekingalpha.com/article/2649...ipt?part=qanda

The quote is pretty recent and every leak we've seen about the launch date was saying june 7,guess it could be a paper launch with parts hitting the stores 2-3 weeks later but any further delays would be surprising.

End of June hardlaunch would not be unrealistic imho, early june however would be surprising.

So the prevailing sense is that June is a tight timeframe for AMD to actually be pushing BD out into the world?

If I had to guess, I'd expect a hard launch of the 9xx series chipsets early june, a hard launch of Llano and FM1 chipsets, as well as a paper launch of Bulldozer in mid-june, with actual bulldozer hardware available at the end of the month/early july.

    Just speculation.

Llano is a hard launch for sure, in fact it's shaping up to be one of AMD's biggest launches yet. That's another reason why I think BD isn't as imminent as most of us are hoping for.

The only thought that comes in mind, AMD has cracked this leak path and took the preventive measures... The result - you don't have silicon sometimes a month before

Heh, Iv'e never been a leak source. Fairly certain that's not the reason.

more for you guys. this one supposedly came from the channel guys, so might be more reliable.

but again the original source is PCOnline (not Chiphell), so all bets are off.
Red text below says volume shipping starts June 20-24. So July hard launch.

3.6 Ghz - 3.2 Ghz does not equal 500 Mhz.

I think they're referring to full number of cores turboing in the range. 500Mhz is the max you can get for 1 core however.
That's the reason for the difference between the 8110 and 8130P (expected the difference to be a bit more though)

For the 4110 there's only 2 modules with 95W so it seems that it definitely is possible, so they can advertise as such. Others, might not be worth it to turbo 2 seconds then throttle back.

    ummmmm, FX4110 is 4.0ghz turbo core, i5 2500 is 3.7ghz in turbo.
It mentioned FX4110 > 2500, so the performance at same frequency maybe at least equal.

If the 8130P has the same base clockspeed than the 8110 then we know what cpu not to buy. At least if you care about $$$.
