Those kind of arguments always spark my interest in human behaviour.
If they are advanced users comparing core counts (4 vs 8) and architecture (cache, clocking, memory support), why does die size and actual core size get often ignored by most fanboys?
AMD obviously designed a smaller, more compact core which allows them to fit in more. Intel on the other hand went the HT route with bigger cores.
In my opinion all that should matter to end-users and especially reviewers are price points - you get the performance that your budget allows for. No fanboy excuse on how to look at the products and architecture should influence that...![]()
