i might as well make this the Z68/P67 club. Ill have my Z68X-UD7 on Firday
I'm afraid to ask, but does F4 final fix the erratic vcore swings that were in F3 final and f4a? I sort of think it doesn't...(or, does LLC1 have more vdroop than LLC disabled, like in F3/F4a?)
2600K 5GHz HT Latest linX
MIVE 1.44v load, LLC 75%
UD7 1.526v load LLC2, LLC1 failed at 1.488v load. Bios F3H
UD7 loves voltage very much...

Kevin,
What were the cpu temps like on both of the boards, with the drastic vcore difference at 5 ghz? And (in realtemp), was the UD7 power draw/temps a lot higher? (should be like 10W higher and 10C higher....)

Wow...that much of a difference?
That means if I went and got a M4E, I might be able to do 5 ghz at 1.35v load instead of 1.43v ....(that's assuming the UD5 performs like the UD7...)
I'd just hate to go spend $300 to find that it runs on only 0.02v lower...
I'm wondering why it's so different, though...
vcore is vcore...The CPU *IS* getting the voltagge since power draw and heat are higher...Have you tried something like raising the VIO/VTT to 1.2v and system agent to 1.02v, and maybe a notch to 1.1v for PCH?
I mean it's worth a try...
I did notice that I only seem to need 1.380-1.392v for 5 ghz HT Off....but turn on HT and needs 1.428-1.440v? ... 0.04v difference?

A little more help please. I asked a couple of times now with no response.
Gigabyte's Cloud OC 'tool' has anyone used it? If so, what options are AVAILABLE (meaning you have the + and - to change the options in the TOP half of the TUNER section (BCLK, CPU/MEM multi, PCIe/PCI frequency ETC)?
Thanks!
PS flashing was successful and thank you!

UD7-B3, bios F4
LLC is available only when the voltage is set in AUTO mode or is fixed. I do not understand why.
F3h is still the best for me.

But andre,
How is it a CPU wall? He can do 1.44v at 5 ghz on M4E board, but his UD7 requires 1.52v...that's such a huge difference!
This can only be caused by either issue with amps, power phases or something with the +12v...the CPU *IS* getting the volts because it heats up higher and has higher power draw...(compared to M4E).
Owi, can you do me a favor?
Try reducing CPU PLL voltage to 1.5v, and then 1.6v and see if anything happens...I'm guessing nothing will...(except 1.5v might fail to boot).
I'll be absolutely shocked if you have the same stability at 1.5v and 1.8v (default)....
There's another test I wanted you to try, but it's probably too much work for you (unless the M4E is in a different system only missing CPU); I wanted you to compare max CPU vcore/ghz with PLL overvoltage disabled on both boards...but probably too much work...
Didn't try lower ppl but 1.68v made auto shutdown during LinX initialization.
I dont hv MIVE with me anymore got refund from Asus just recently lol.
That's why i said will grab a Z68 board from other brand.

Well its true maybe i missed some part, i just wanted to state that not every board is equal to another not even on same batch, im really surprised by the dif of volts really, but also dont surprise me at all maybe readings on asus show less than reality like it happens always
and yes, voltaje regulation can be bad on that mobo
im just telling this from my experience and my friends
sorry if if missunderstood
cheers for both
Sergio
Sorry owi falkentyne corrected me and he is right, i didnt follow al the problem but i really dont think that its giga boards eating more volts than asus on such a diff, maybe is that board in particular that has a problem
i was gonna say that to lower also PLL as some CPU love low and some stock and some over
cheers !
Sergio

Agree with u andre on voltage regulatior which doesnt work correctly on this particular board
Means it's time to RMA it.
