people are crowing on about SB-E but to me the 2600k is like the I5 870
. same performance as the low end SB-E just without as many Pic-e lanes and lower channel memory.
so its likely that SB-E will win in absolute performance but most power uses would buy the 2600k/lower SB-E and if bulldozer can compete in that space and overclock well then AMD will be in a much better position then right now.
the high spec of the bulldozer chipset ( 2X 16) might help push it over the edge on the 2600k vs bulldozer, black edition wouldn't hurt either.
peope seem to forget amd has like 10% of the fab capacity of intel and there are much higher margins in the server space, gaining market share there will do AMD much better then gaining consumer space.
