Mainly the plug-in NIC and Audio card (aka Thunderbolt) plus a couple of hardware changes to help attain higher stable QPI frequencies for benchmarking.

Thanks. I also notice there is no PCI slot available on the Rampage III Black. I wonder why they did that.

The Thunderbolt card uses a PCIe slot. Most decent add-in peripheral cards are now available in PCIe flavor, so it makes sense to utilize the tech exclusively on a flagship product.
