Official statement regarding reports of cancelling P67 chipset projects.

The industry reports about GIGABYTE cancelling all P67 projects and moving 100% to next gen Intel 6 series chipset models are misleading and unfounded. GIGABYTE will continue producing P67 chipset motherboards until the end of 2011, and the H67 models are expected to be available well into 2012. However, it is true that GIGABYTE is aggressively preparing a full range of motherboards based on next gen Intel 6 series chipsets for the enthusiast, power user and mainstream market segments. These models will boast all the rich features available from Intel’s latest chipset and CPU offerings together with some exciting new GIGABYTE proprietary technologies.

We appreciate the excitement and enthusiasm regarding GIGABYTE’s next generation 6 series chipset motherboards, and look forward to a quick ramp in the weeks and months to come.

Hi, I'm currently stuck at 4.8 ghz on my 2600k, need some advice to breach the 5.0 ghz mark
So basically I've pretty much stable at 4.8 ghz, got bsod on idle couple of time, so I had to raise volage twice. ( goes through all LinX etc at 1.356, but bsods at 1.344 on idle after vdrop).
    Here's my current settings:
    x48 multi
    BLCK 100.5 in bios
    VTT 1.08 in bios
    Vcore 1.34 + LLC 2 in bios = 1.356 idle, 1.38 under load.
    1.53 on memory
All c1e etc are disabled. didn't turn on the PLL overvolt mode.
    Bios F2
    CPU batch : 3050A421

when I try to push for x49 multi, I get UD7 screen and then my PC restarts, claiming that the OC failed. Tried different voltages, that didn't seem to change anything.
Am I hitting my cpu's limit here? or do I need some nice fancy new BIOS. ( btw, I wouldn't mind a nice fancy new BIOS....any suggestions on the best one there is ? )
Gaming Rig 1 ( always under construction) :
    i72600k @ 4.7ghz, 2x4gb ddr3 1600 raptor, 3x7970, 40gb ssd intel 320, 1tb samsung F3, Corsair AX1200W, HafX, XSPC Raystorm RX360 Extreme , 140mm rad slim, 120mm rad.

didn't turn on the PLL overvolt mode.
You may want to turn this on to go over 4.8Ghz.

inmo use LLC1 much more stable than LLC2 and use F3h BIOS

see some pages back i posted all

this is my solid 5005 HT on 2133 C7 mem prime stable

use PLL try more than 1,8 some chips needed over some exact some undervolted

try more vtt some IMC are weaker than others

take mem out of the problem put them loose to know the limit of your chip

    F3h = x50 w00t.
Now... I think that's because I enabled PLL overvoltage .... hmmm, anyways.
2 more questions then : what's safe voltage I should stay below for 24/7 use ? And can I keep PLL OV option enabled for 24/7 use ?

I did read couple of times that I should generally stay below 1.38 on vcore, but I have a suspicion that it's a bit concervative.

Ive been running 1.42v since SB was released without any issues. I think the general consensus is try and stay around 1.4v if possible.

Well I guess I'm going to try to stay below 1.4 just to be one the safe side. And judging from my preliminary linX run that "below" well be at x49 hopefuly. x50 seems to want more then 1.4 under load.

So, running with PLL option set on "enabled" been for you guys fine all this time ? ( lol as a student, I'm trying to pace my finances so that I can at least avoid upgrading for another 1.5-2 years, and keep my CPU from failing on me)
P.S. I find LLC 2 to be better then LLC1, it doesn't overvolt that much, and eliminates that wild Vdrop ( seriosly 1.38 idle to 1.34 load is a bit to much of a vdrop, freezes my pc instantly).

LLC2 is fine, as long as your vcore isn't high, and as long as you aren't having a rise over 0.02v. Having a large rise can cause chip degradation by being WAY over the load voltage you truly need for stability, or, causing you to crash at idle/light load, by having too little voltage when idle.

NewEgg shipped the board out today, sent it overnight air. Ill be glad to be back on the UD7.

I was getting worried, I sent them a dead board.

Im kinda glad they had a recall now, otherwise I would have had to deal with gigabyte directly to get a replacement.

Was your old board a B2 or something?
