Get a massive 8 meter wide fan that blows dust out your window... honestly, I can't figure out how you get so much dust in that build!

decmifilters or the modright fliterrights I'm using.

Both are good options, good filtration, easy to clean.

ummm i was looking at those..

however i dont like those filter material.
The ones im using wave so they catch dust better.
Ive had fine grit screen like that b4, and it doesnt stop the small very fine dust from entering the rad.

Also im very impartial in attaching a magnetic object to a case and making the entire case magnetic. :P

Attach 2x filter 1x inlet and 1x outlet one before and one after each other, cant go wrong with the dust, i do it that way with 2 of those dust filters i think you mentioned earlier, they kinda just stick on..

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

updates... i got my RMA back..

    its working beautifully...

however it came with a big MADE in CHINA sticker..
And the screws were not Torx, but regular + head screws...

    China..

I caved in and im going full SLI.
So my other koolance 580 block should be arriving next week, for my additional card.

I also ordered a ton of anodized screws... i hate Vapor for showing me the store.
    http://www.fastener-express.com/

Highly recommend them if u want blingy screws... i think i spent about 2 hours there last night with vapor planning out which screws to get.

lol.... 2 hours looking at screws!!! i must be screwy!

Lemme show u guys what the problem is.

These were supposed to be new..

One came very butchered up, to the point where someone even took a soldering iron on the plastic and melted the housing:

I use Cold Heat... as a soldering iron, so no way possible for me to do that type of plastic damage.

As i said these were supposed to be new.

I asked them for a coupon discount on my next purchase, as i bought the wrong switches to begin with.
Those are latching.. i need momentary.

My second 580GTX block arrives on wednesday, and i got a ton of screwy screws coming in on monday. :P

    Update:
    Hank replied!
He said he would give me a free one on my next order.

damn NaeKuh, that switch is bodged up good. kinda looks like my soldering jobs when I get impatient with a project.

no I didn't return any switches to PPCs. I'd have used push-connects instead of soldering it.

unless you wanna jump down to 'the shack' and pick up a bulb solder sucker for like $6. useful for people like me who get sloppy after 5 minutes of soldering frustration.

Forget that, for something like this, just use the heat-and-smack method, which consists of heating the solder, then immediately smacking the component into something hard, sending the solder flying out of the contacts.

ummm i could use a copper wire as a wick and heat the wire and just suck up the solder..

but besides the point... there latch switches... they lock... thats what they meant about latch.

I need the monentary switches... also i might go the deci filter route.

wahahahhaa playing around with air filters..

i made a ghetto dust filter box...

That hole is sealed btw.. i used tape just to seal it..

its ghetto because it uses the same air filters my rental properties uses.. so i litterally have qt. 20 of these guys:

and b4 u guys go say get a real air purifier..

i was burning though filters too quickly.. because i leave all the windows open.

LOL... i think this ghetto one will do nicely.. since filters alone are like $1.80 :P

Well lets see how it works out.

wahahahaha... i figured a lot of people would like them.

All it takes is an old PSU + 38mm fans + postal box 12x12x5.

The filters are 12x24x1, so when u use up one side.. flip it the other way!

dont think u can get cheaper then that....

    its works pretty good..

its nothing like the 7 stager i have in the other picture...
But it gets dust pretty well.

My study was being cleaned and i left it on, and the filter actually got dirty pretty quickly as all the dust was being toss'd into the air.

You can feel the filter being sucked into the box.
And i have taped up all the air holes.. so the only way to get air is though the filter.

I could of gone with a more expensive filter, like the 3M ones, but im just after dust and pet hair.

The unit should be good enough for that.

did u have the air purifier when u had all that dust in your previous rig??? Do they even work?

Johnny, at some point there's so much dust even an industrial air purifier can't handle it.

NaeKuh passed that point ages ago !

they work... but they work too good when your windows are kept open all the time.

They get dirty super fast, so i had to pull that expensive one out of my study, and just leave it at the main house.

I was going though filters like crazy on that expensive unit... and i got tired of additional expenses.
