It's lightning fast when it comes to load ASP sites, but it's not that much faster rendering the rest of the sites.
I've had several problems with it, the first one when trying to navigate this forums.
Perhaps it's because of the language package, I don't know.
Still it's a nice browser. I'm certainly going to use it.
little simple tweak tool for IE9 (TweakIE9) here http://www.itknowledge24.com/ on essential downloads
so that youtube review is bs...No, this is not due to caching. Both Chrome and IE perform advanced caching, and as I said in the video description, these tests were performed "warm" with both browsers using caching. The reason Chrome is slower here is the auto-discovery of a web proxy. IE does this very fast. Chrome does this slowly. See my video response for a demonstration. With auto-discovery of the proxy off, Chrome is just as fast as IE9.
well its ms so im not surprised :P
gonna give it a try but i wont use it, simply because its ms... :P
The real question would be is there support for current HTML , PHP & CSS coding???
You would think seeing how Microsoft pretty much governs the computer industry that they would be ahead of the curve on all of the standard coding formats, but they aren't!![]()

Ads!? HA! Thats good to know. I dont like ads
It's better then ie8.
But still not much for customizing the toolbars.
I think it changed up the theme files...
Not the dll's, but the theme's themselves.
I have to start a theme from scratch again :\.
I had to do a 2nd fresh install of windows because I hastily copied over my mods to the new install thinking it would be alright.
It was not...
Redid all my mods from scratch except the modded aero theme it's self, all good.
I'll compare my mods from the previous to see if those were the cause or the theme it's self.
To make sure..., I suspect it was the theme though.
All because of a new IE, more work then sp1 lol.

OK, I recently had a problem with IE9 where it was rendering web pages very slowly. At first I thought it was my connection, but after doing some tests, it definitely wasn't that. So I uninstalled IE9 and then installed Google Chrome, and sure enough, the problems disappeared.
That was the first time I have ever tried Google Chrome, and I didn't like it to be honest. Not having a drop down window for the address bar is inexcusable!
So I installed IE9 again, and the problems I had with it previously were completely gone. I think that GPU driver installation has the potential to screw up IE9 in a big way, since it uses hardware rendering for web pages and such. And I know that before the 270.51 drivers, I was installing/uninstalling drivers rather frequently to see if any of them could solve the Crysis 2 flickering problem..
Anyway, having used both Google Chrome and IE9 now, I can say with all honestly that IE9 is definitely superior. It not only renders web pages faster than Google Chrome (atleast on my machine), but the overall layout is a lot more efficient than Chrome and just as clean.

XKCD's April Fools 3D mode does not work with IE9.
That makes Firefox 4 the best browser for it since it's the only other with GPU acceleration (Opera and Chrome render it really slow).
Funny how the GPU accel in IE9 ends up being kinda useless if any site that's not a tech demo made by Microsoft wont work with it...

The current Opera beta does have hardware 3D acceleration. You can try it if you want to see the current state of development:
http://snapshot.opera.com/labs/webgl...1_WebGL_en.exe
http://xk3d.xkcd.com/
^ Seems to render fine in the 11.50 beta and also IE9. Speed isn't bad under Opera 11.01 either, imo, despite being software.

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!
Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.
