    Ket,

Many thanks for your reply. My problem is not only the Logitech webcam. The USB 3.0 port of the Asrock P67 Extreme4 doesn't work with a wide range of USB devices like:
USB2 modems, USB2 TV tuners, some USB2 memory sticks, some USB 3.0 HDDs.

The chip itself is touted as being the world’s fastest USB 3.0 controller and the first to be interoperable with USB 2.0 and 1.1. EtronTech also claim their drivers are WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) tested and certified.
While the Etron chip is touted "the world’s fastest USB 3.0 controller and the first to be interoperable with USB 2.0 and 1.1", the fact is that from 10 USB devices which I own, only 3 are working properly with my Asrock P67 Extreme4 motherboard's USB 3.0 ports.
At the same time all of these devices work correctly with my laptop which is equipped with the NEC USB 3.0 host controller.

I have an USB 3.0 HDD which is getting disconnected while copying large files, thus corrupting my data.
I have an USB 2.0 memory stick which is seen sometimes as unformatted on the USB 3.0 port, sometimes is seen correctly.
I can't use my USB TV tuners at all on the USB 3.0 ports of this motherboard.

I wouldn't recommend this motherboard to those who need the USB 3.0 port functionality.

    Regards,

Why on earth are there so many beta BIOS? Can't they just combine or come up with an official one?

I have a couple betas send by their support because my mouse was frozen in UEFI interface. Now I'm happy so I though to share it maybe it helps another user with a CM Storm mouse.

If you can give me a list of the USB2 and USB3 devices that caused the BSOD I may be able to push something through.

At this time I would hesitate to say theres a design flaw with the EJ168 controller itself, but Etrontechs drivers certainly need a lot of improving. From my own experiences with the USB3 ports they work well with keyboards, mice, pen drives, micro SD adapters, wireless adapters etc. Its just the QC Pro 4000.

Can anyone contact Asrock for me and get the shipping bios for the b3 Pro3?

I doubt anything is gonna change as the VRMs aren't able to hold stable voltage. But I'll need to RMA this back ... again... so done with Asrock tbh.

Honestly, I think you have been unlucky. Why did you switch your B2 board anyway? Its not like any of us are honestly going to keep the same board for over 3 years I think the longest I ever used a board for was 1 year lol. Once Z67 arrives I'll probably pick one of those boards up, assuming their worth picking up.

well ya know they contacted me for the swap. Couldn't imagine it would be this bad. Right now volts are set to 1.32v. It goes from 1.344 to 1.28v. Its like LLC isn't working. But both of these stupid things the option is gone once I change the multiplier to manual. My b2 must've still been active where this one the voltage is just all over the place.

Have you tried loading defaults, setting LLC to level 2, save and exit, re-enter UEFI then switch multi to manual? That way in theory LLC will already be working at level 2 regardless of the option "vanishing".

@ket, one good feature to ask asrock next time, is to add a asus like option, to save overclock profiles to a fat/fat32 usb stick, it will be super convenient.. 3 profiles only.. are too few

yea, still huge droop though. I tried that 1-5 there was no difference.

Anyways, this all worked out for the best. Newegg doesn't have anymore Asrock (b3) P67 Pro3s so they offered me a full refund. I went ahead and ordered the Asus P8P67. Initially I bought the Asrock cause I was using a Dtek fuzion (775) waterblock. I've since upgraded to the XSPC CPU block so I'm using 1155 mount now so I'm no longer limited to motherboards with 775 mounting.

I'll have the new board Monday and hopefully wash my hands of this.

Asrock have something similar already, its called OC DNA. You can save your OC settings through some Windows software to file and save/load any profile you have. I don't know if they utilise it with their P67 boards, but stands to reason that they would.

I'll add it as a general question to bring up when I next give them a bug report. I'd like to know any bugs Extreme4 owners have run into while using UEFI 1.6A (NOT UEFI 1.61 or 1.62) and I'm especially interested in bug reports from P67 Pro3 owners. Remember to include as much detail as you can, folks

    //////////For my reference only//////////

    P67 Extreme4 bugs

    - Some UEFI settings do not "stick" in saved profiles
    - Offset voltage does not work above ~1.35v?

    P67 Pro3 bugs

    - LLC option disappears when changing CPU multiplier to manual

Yes, they do. Its part of the ASROCKAXTU utility. You can save profiles right in Windows to a file.

Why drivers which cause BSOD are WHQL certified?

I guess Microsoft didn't even bother to test the Etron USB 3.0 host controller with their own webcam?

Because WHQL is just a label - nothing more. If the driver installs without problems when submitted to WHQL it gets the green tick. No proper testing is done.

Can you provide a full list of USB3 and USB2 devices you or others have tried which cause the EtronXHCI.SYS BSOD? Once I have that I can give Asrock something they can start to work on a fix for or give EtronTech a kick up their backside to sort their driver out.

UEFI 1.61 is buggy. I discovered that myself with settings I knbow to be stable but IBT "failed". Went back to UEFI 1.6A and all is well. Try 1.6A.
Not sure if it's a B3 related issue or not, but 1.6A is extremely buggy for me. Random lockups, and BSOD's. I flashed back to 1.61, and no issues.

Sounds just like my B3. I'm guessing Asrock screwed something up bad with these. Mine freezes at stock. Voltage swings all over the place. At 1.40v in bios I was 1.4 to 1.32v while just sitting on the desktop.

I'd guess a serious issue with the B3s as well. No problems at all with my B2 board. /feels smug/
