Hey, anything can happen. Some D9JNL 1066 CL7 could do magic...nearly 100% OC at the same CAS? (I'm just joking btw)

It's all good, youtube coming anyway, the best part about people who try to discredit others is when the proof is posted they suceeded in just discrediting themselves

Last test cas 8, jacked the subs all the way in, not really worth much, 8-10-8 or 8-9-8 no matter the speed really just doesn't have what it takes to be competitive.

Really need times in the 5:56 range untuned on win 7 to be worth running a tuned run in XP.

Moving on to Cas 7 now.

C7 prime results updated page 1.......here's some other stuff i tested just for kicks.

Looks like 8-9-8 1176 trades blows with 7-10-7 at the same speeds.

I tossed a 7-9-6 in there at 2300 for kicks which is actually a tad faster.

What kind of juice does it take for that 7-9-6-20? I may give that one a shot.

Yah no problem elmor, I need to swap boards though, this m4e has some weird issue with vdimm over like 1.76v.

Happens to me with hypers to and I know its not the cpu.

Maybe i'll try the pro or I have the b3 m4e arriving in a day or so.

Think I was at max volts I can use on my board Ron, 1.768.

I will give cl6 a try now in prime see how far I can go with my voltage wall.

Getting POST problems with high vdimm? Try to booting at lower frequencies and voltage, say 1 GHz and 1.7 V. Then raise voltage and frequencies with Turbo-V/OC-Panel/ROG Connect.

That seems odd. I can boot right up at 1.8+ on the pro

Keep hitting post code 58 or 45 when high vdimm, I did try via bclk and voltage in windows but i was going for retarded settings, all sucked in subs and 2300+ 6-8-6. It's just locked the screen with turbo-v.

Gonna try the 1298 bios now that I worked on maybe that will fix some issues, this is the bios I debugged for 1298.

Voltage in combination with frequency was the problem, board would shut down during early POST and cycle reboots.

Yah I reported that playing with bios's seems that issue is adressed in bios 1302, can boot 1.85v if i like now not that it makes a difference.

This particular set is dated Dec 2010, It's really not that stellar C6 wise, most likely luck of the draw for c6 operation. Even with slacked subs 2133 6-9-6 isn't possible.

Out of curiosity I plugged in another set of gskills i reviewed quite some time ago and they did 6-9-6 no issues........No love for this 8-9-8 kit and c6 though.

I would reccomend for most users just to bench 32m 7-9-6 seems even a rather bad set can do that well with decent performance.

    That our old 5520 chip?

You should try 7-9-6 it's preety potent at 2300 if you can get it there. IIRC the IMC was preety decent on that chip.

Let me template it for you.

In aida it will be top to bottom

7-9-6-20-72-1-4-8-4-4-16-8 and that data drive timing next to TWCL in bios 3.

Might be able to suck some of those in more depending on how high your pushing, obviiusly less than 2300 you can tighten up a tad more.

Start with around 1.76v for 2133 try it there and work your way up.

My 2300 run that I did earlier I would project probably 5:54-5:53's in that ballpark tuned in XP on that chip you have around 6:01-6:00

I have to buy a new copy of aida (doing as we speak) but thanks for the timings, I have another set of the same memory coming so I will see if the new set clocks any better I assume 1.68-1.7v for 2300?
